Re: The Walking Dead (Season 6)

When I saw the previews after the Glenn cliffhanger I really wasn't looking forward to an entire 90 minute episode centered around Morgan. However, I really enjoyed this episode. I though it was cool seeing Morgan's transformation and Eastman was probably one of the best (ie most developed) characters on the show since it's inception. I also thought that the story was very well done and the performances from both actors were top notch. The episode may have been a little long, but I didn't find myself bored in the least.

It will be interesting to see if Morgan continues to live by Eastman's code even if it means putting yourself and your allies in harms way. I'm hoping that he realizes that there's a difference in not getting satisfaction from a revenge killing versus killing for survival before it's too late.

But that was completely lame. The entire time I was watching their interactions out in the field I thought some Wolves (the group not animals) or some other living antagonist were gonna ambush them and kill him in the process.
Once Morgan started coming around a paused it and told my wife that it would be awesome if an intruder came to the cabin and Eastman told Morgan that he had to go since he was reformed. Basically continuing the cycle with other people and making the world a better place. Instead we got that lame death.

Glenn is dead IMO. Unless they are being a'holes. I noticed Steven's name was not in the beginning and concluding credits last night. I think he's gone.

I liked last nights episode even though I wanted to see what happened with Glenn and Rick, although I'm pretty sure Rick is making it out just wanted to see how.

              I agree that

I really liked this episode, seeing what Morgan had been up to before getting to Alexandria. Eastmen was a great person to introduce for only one episode and you can see how much he influences Morgan now with his decisions, even with that wolf. Both of them played the roles very well, and I thought it was paced out very well for it only being an 90 minute episode.

In regards to Glenn, Im just going to take the wait and see approach. I know some people want answers about him, but I thought this episode was a nice bridge to build Morgans story more. I like Morgan a lot more after seeing this episode.

I think Morgan is going to come to a hard realization that the "code" Eastman taught him, just cannot exist in the new world. Eastman lived by it while living in his little house on the prairie, away from the harsh realities that have taken over. Nothing good is going to come from Morgan's beliefs, for however long they last.

Anyone else sit there laughing at the prospect of Steven "Aikido Master" Segal having been cast as Eastman? That would have been tv gold.

I think it was quite... fortunate(read implausible) that as psycho Morgan went around killing everything in his way, he happened to stumble across the one guy left on the planet that had the skill to rehabilitate him.

Eastman's death was pretty silly but it would not be the first time a guy with plenty experience in the zombie apocalypse did something extremely stupid to get himself killed. *Cough* Tyrese *cough*. Eastman was the most interesting character the show had had in a long time though.

But the milking of Glenn's fate is gonna turn people off the Morgan 90 min episode automatically. People just want to know what happened already. The pitchforks and torches are lit.

It's a friggin show based on a comic man, you need willing suspension of disbelief when watching TWD.

If you aren't capable of that then you're watching the wrong show.
