I see what you're saying but JDM said season 7 will pick up right where we just left off. Scott Gimple said the same. Gimple also said, "I'm very excited for all the individual characters' journeys -- except for the way we start, which will be awful."

Actually I don't think it being Eugene would be a cop out. I think it'd be rather sad. While he's not really major he's that underdog guy that you root for.

The only cop out IMO would be Aaron. The audience doesn't have a connection with that character yet. If it is any of the female characters people will lose their damn minds.

I don't think anyone will lose sleep if it's Eugene or Aaron.

When that happened in the comics, it was heartbreaking in the worst way. At this point only Glenn, Daryl, or possibly Abraham could get that reaction.

I'm starting to lean Abraham. I don't see them killing off a woman character this way. Just can't see it.

Candy. This entire forum is about TV or movies unless specified otherwise. I can't remember the last time I saw a discussion regarding a book or a comic.

Do you realize how many movies, shows are based on books or comics? You are the first person to ever make an issue of this very reasonable ask.

And no, the way you stated your post was not as an opinion.



Go through the Lord of the Rings threads or the Game of Thrones thread. You will see every reference from those books spoilered. Those shows sole existence was due to the books, would you have appreciated spoilers in there?

There's a thread for the comics to talk freely about. A couple of us tried by it died down real quick, since no as many people read them, or stay up to date on them. I don't know anyone else here who stays fully up to date on them.

There is no scenario where the happenings of the comics should be freely discussed, there are clearly people here who don't read them, and why spoil it for them. If I don't get my issue of TWD the day it's released I avoid any spoilers of it, and no one is telling me what happened, so I wouldn't want to do that to people who don't read them.

I mean really Candy, how would you have felt if I was a comics reader and you were just starting the show up and I came in and was like, oh Shane will die pretty early on. He tries to attack Rick, then Rick kills him, and then Carl puts him down as a walker. How would you feel if I ruined that for you?

Threatening to not watch, kill ratings, or whatever to hurt the show because of how it's been written lately won't change a thing.

Gimple's already been fighting the backlash telling people 'look at the bigger picture, stories not over' blah blah blah. In their heads they are right and all of us unsatisfied people are wrong. Nothing will change that.

Starting a petition, or not giving them ratings won't do a damn thing. It's just like the "If Daryl Dies We Riot" people, no you won't. You won't stop watching. The show doesn't care if you stop watching. They do killer ratings, and for every couple people that stop watching, they might pick up a couple.

Yeah, a lot of us think they cheated us on this bull**** ending, but you know what? Every last one of us are going to tune in come season 7 to see who died. We made it this far, we're not tapping out now. I've said to myself before that I was gonna stop reading the comics, but just couldn't because it's habit at this point, and I still find enjoyment out of it.

You're going to stop giving them ratings? Okay, then don't watch it on TV, don't DVR it, don't watch it on their website, don't watch it on Netflix. But yet you're going to stream or download it illegally, that makes you incredibly hypocritical. You're not going to give them ratings, but you're still going to watch. How about you just don't watch period. Might be for the better.

I just could not see it being Maggie, she's the weakest link right now. Putting aside Negan's morals, she's pregnant, and sick. Why would he kill her?

Because he sees she's important enough to Rick and the group for them to go out of their way to help her while being extremely sick. Ignoring what comic readers know, don't you think Negan would see that right away and understand Maggie is a big player with the group?
