      I 100% agree with this!

For some people, it wasn't "Marvel" enough lol. Did you end up watching this a second time?

I mean, but isn't that pretty much the theme for super hero movies/cartoons/comics?

That's what made Nolan's last two Batman films so special, plus Logan (probably ignoring several others that broke that mold).

People will disagree, but I'll use BvS as an example. As polarizing as that film was -- especially the theatrical cut -- it definitely didn't feel generic. I feel like Man of Steel was the same, because of the handheld camera shots and how they approached that film as a "first contact" movie of humans discovering that an alien being has been living among them and basically has the powers of a god; it also totally flipped how you expect Superman to be and how the world at large would react to such a thing.

Switching over to Marvel, Winter Soldier -- and to a slightly lesser extent, Civil War -- is the best Marvel movie for me, simply because it doesn't have that cliched Marvel style in terms of the beat of the story.

I guess all I'm trying to say is, I hope the DCEU doesn't become formulaic just for the sake of critical (and commercial) success. I still want to feel like that's a "director's movie" and not some studio formula -- no matter how much success Marvel has achieved with that style.

Just saw this and absolutely loved it. Gadot was perfect as Wonder Women, loved that pacing of the movie and the little humor it had this is my favorite DC film and actually one of my favorite Super Hero movies. Little bias cause WW was always one of my favorite Heroes along with Hulk and Thor. That No mans lands scene was crazy good also one of my favorite scenes in a super hero movie. Will own it when it comes out.

The wife and I loved it. We saw it at an Alamo Theater. Got there early and they had had all types of Wonder Women stuff playing before the previews.

From the 1st 2 failed pilots. To a Wonder Women character based in the Philippines. To see the Wonder Women timeline was nice.

As for the movie, it had everything a summer blockbuster should have. Nice plot, Nice humor and good action sequences.

Gal Gadot is HOT… Plain and Simple. She was great in this role. Chris Pike also was great. Their chemistry on the screen really kept the movie from getting boring during non-action scenes.

Definitely 1 of the better superhero movies made.

Wonder Woman was an amazing movie!! The woman who plays her is incredibly beautiful and utterly perfect for the role, the writing was top notch and the movie overall was paced perfectly. And most importantly, the action kicked total ***!

My wife Stefanie loved it as well. Definitely going to buy this in 4K when it comes out!!

If you haven't seen it yet, and you're the least bit interested, go see it asap!!

P.S. I am now in love with Gal Gadot. Don't tell my wife please (although I think she knows, LOL)

Gal Gadot is the hottest in Hollywood right now. I just love Israeli women.

Its gotta be their diet but the women have the nicest skin i ever seen.

Anyway, i might have to make a trip to the main city to catch this before its out of theaters.

Was it worth it in imax?

Got the chance to see this yesterday and loved it. I haven't liked the DC Universe movies so I was still a bit skeptical going into this one, but it blew me away. Gal Gadot and Chris Pine were amazing and hilarious together. A bit rough in the CGI department in a few scenes, but it didn't really hurt my overall enjoyment of the film too much. The Wonder Woman theme music is just the best.

I think the difference in this one was a little bit of humor, some self awareness and the acting was great. It was just a much better tone than the other so serious, so grandiose DC movies.
