    10 Cloverfield Lane

This literally came out of nowhere. Was listed as a completely different movie on the release schedule. The first movie is a top 10 of all time film for me. So I cannot wait.

    Re: 10 Cloverfield Lane

I'll go ahead and say that I'm beyond excited for this, but I can't say I'm not confused about what I just saw in the trailer. I think that's a good thing. I'd prefer to know nothing more.

Everybody's idea of a sequel was same incident, different POV. Not only do I not know if that's what this is, but it's also not from a handheld (for better or worse).

Looks like Matt Reeves isn't involved anywhere, only J.J. Abrams. Don't know who the director and writers are.

This is how you make a teaser, though!

Suddenly, I have theorized something based on that poster. I'll hold off saying anything so that either I don't look stupid or I don't reveal anything that actually might be right.

I have to get my mind off this film now before I ruin it for myself. I shall see you all again come March 11th!

Hell. Yes. Only Abrams could have pulled something like this off too.

Cloverfield was ****ing AWESOME. I can't wait.

This is so awesome. Secrecy and the idea of something being unknown is lost nowadays with so much technology and social network usage.

Loved the original Cloverfield, don't care what this ends up being about as I will see it regardless

                          Re: 10 Cloverfield Lane

I am not sure I walked out of a movie more disappointed than when I saw Cloverfield in theaters. I remember someone in theater yelled "Lame" with a cuss word in front as the credits started to roll and I looked at my friend and we were like "that about covers it."

I watched it again about a year later on my computer and I, for whatever reason, had a much different reaction and enjoyed it a lot more. Wish I could explain why that happens but I can't, it just did. I would have told you, after my first viewing, that it was a 4/10 and not to waste your money, but ultimately I would consider it a solid 7.5 after further viewings.

Looking forward to checking this out. Hope they get creative

I saw it more than once in theaters, and I hate how everybody's full impression of a film is based on an ending. Not calling this a horror movie, but given its content and style horror movies have trouble with "endings." This one is no different, however unlike others I happened to like the ending. There was nothing wrong with it at all. Others, however, grumbled from it.

                              Re: 10 Cloverfield Lane

A lot of people in my circle of friends were critical of it and I don't remember much specifically but I do remember a common theme between them was "it really isn't a monster movie." Not saying I agree or disagree with that. I remember at the time seeing their point. Again this was a long time ago, my memory isn't what it used to be.

I think I went into it expecting something different and I kept waiting for some sort of huge payoff along the lines of the type of movie I was expecting to see. Who knows, maybe I just misjudged it right away.

It's a solid movie for sure. I am curious as to how/if at all this connects with the first film directly.
