I doubt it. I don't think any movie will touch Gone with the Wind with inflation. It will be tough just to beat Avatars record.

I like it for the sound. It's a great blu ray for anyone who has a decent sound system in their living room. Good bass, and the military scene is insane. I can do without the first 20 minutes of the movie though.

Just watched the trailer yesterday. John Goodman is in this? Can't take it too seriously then. I do like that marquee, though.

John Goodman is a hell of an actor and has been in multiple great films. I'm not sure I follow.

I'm not saying he's not a hell of an actor, but let's face it. There is a comedic side typically there to his characters. Just look at his resume.

              Same is true for...

              Robin Williams
              Bill Murray
              Jim Carrey
              Ben Stiller
              Steve Martin
              Kristen Wiig
              Will Ferrell
              Adam Sandler
              Eddie Murphy (if Dreamgirls counts)

Probably some older folks too like Peter Sellers or Jackie Gleason, but I haven't seen enough of them.

Anyway, they might even have something that will make you laugh time to time... but that doesn't mean they can't do serious.

Sure... I get it. Different actors have the range. In fact, since you mentioned Gleason (one of my favorite, if not most favorite, comedic actors of all time) who was tremendous in Gigot, about a French mute who befriended a prostitute and her little girl. Gleason's dramatic ability in that movie stirred emotion. I just don't think of or see Goodman that way. But now that I think of it, he did have a more serious role in Marilyn Hotchkiss' Ballroom Dancing & Charm School. Worth a look. Unique flick.

Goodman in Fallen (one of my favorite movies) was fantastic. Especially in the final scene where he an Denzel play off each other incredibly well.

John Goodman has been great in a bunch of "nonfunny" movies.

That's because I'm really John Goodman all this time.

No, but seriously, I already retracted a bit. Though typically he's more of a comedic presence. You gotta admit that.

I always thought Goodman be great as Bill if they every made a Last of Us movie.

I find myself going back and watching the trailer over again daily.

Definitely has me very intrigued. Very curious to find out what is going on in the world of this movie

Watched the meat part of Cloverfield tonight. The shaky cam got old after a while, but the overall production value was real good. It's amazing that it's going to be 8 years between the versions.

Supposedly nothing is going on. A bombs have devastated the cities and no monsters or people. She roams outside in a world filled with just destruction.
