Yep they were included as a bonus disc in a 2004 DVD THX release of the special editions.

I also have that THX VHS release you are thinking about in that cool Darth Vader box.

But yeah these are in 4:3 widescreen.

Pretty clean transfer. But not remastered in THX or anything of a sort.

Good enough though to enjoy the un-altered originals though.

And for the record I don’t get the hate at all for TLJ.

I enjoyed it a lot more on my second viewing. Is it a great Star Wars movie? No not for me. But it is good.

I also have that THX VHS release. I want those on BluRay.

I get triggered whenever I see Hayden Christensen in ROTJ (amongst the numerous other changes).

I'm a big fan of John Williams, but music is pretty far down my list of wants in a movie. Plus, the music was fine imo. Maybe it wasn't John Williams caliber, but it wasn't a detriment to the movie.

I really liked Rogue One because it didn't try to appeal to all audiences. It was the first, and still maybe the only, Star Wars movie that took the "wars" part seriously.

I know a lot of people have been critical about them, but I actually didn't have a problem with the characters. I think we got as much character depth out of the main cast as we did in any other individual Star Wars film, and to me it worked even better because of the mission they were on.

I can't really rank them in a specific order:

        Empire Strikes Back
        Return of the Jedi
        The Force Awakens

        Rogue One

        A new hope
        The Last Jedi

        Phantom Menace
        Attack of the Clones
        Revenge of the Sith

Re: Star Wars Episode VIII - The Last Jedi

I just got back from seeing the movie and I'm not sure where I stand. The critics and all of the talk on the movie may have colored my impression while watching it because I was very "meh" on it.

The whole middle of the movie dragged to no end. Three separate issues were happening but none of them was interesting enough, or rather they should of focused on 1 or 2 scenes over trying to run 3 separate stories in the middle of the movie. It made the movie lose steam.

Not to get into spoilers but the ending was better then the movies beginning and middle. To finally have stuff with purpose and an outcome was solely needed. The light Saber fights during the middle to end was fantastic.

Beyond that, nothing really stood out to me. I actually thought Rogue One was a better paced movie and just a better movie overall. It stripped it's fat and gave us a cohesive movie while The Last Jedi was all over the place.

The Force Awaken was a much better movie, even though it was a carbon copy of Last Hope, it hit all the right beats and was cohesive.

I'm hoping since JJ Abrams is back for movie 9, they let him be creative since he's proven he could make a good star wars movie.

If I had to give this a rating:

          6/10

Not liking the movie is fine, but there is something wrong with someone who creates or signs a petition to have a movie removed from canon. I feel like those are the kind of people who would do some lunatic **** like swatting someone.

Pure insanity is what I call it. It’s a freaking movie.

              Lord.

Discussion of likes and dislikes is always fun....but this kind of talk is just ridiculous LOL. Scary.

No offense intended by this, but these people are the reason we can't talk about politics in polite (mixed views) company. And can't rationally discuss and debate many other controversial things. There's being a 'partisan' or leaning one way and then there's being a 'zealot'. Too many people cross that line, go into the abyss, and just can't be reasoned with.

With the advent of social media the incredible amount of zealot’s is insane. Being able to hide behind a keyboard has empowered almost anyone to be highly opinionated (basically a nice way of saying being a total dooshbag) without fear of repercussion.

                  It’s sad.

JJ Abrams is good for setting things up and teasing red herrings. I don't trust him to close out a trilogy and answer all questions after LOST.

Saw it last week. I liked it. I see what people meant about too many jokes from all characters.

It was a solid action sci-fi movie.

Man I get so tired of hearing people say this it is not a remake or remixed NH at all. Around the 7:30 mark starts to talk about this and brings up a lot of good points. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbaliPyihCY
