Stan may let the whole Martha thing go now that he knows she's seeing someone...

    OR

He ramps it up to a 10 to find out who it is and we haven't seen anything with boundary issues yet.

I can't remember for sure, are they still reading the printouts from the bugged mail robot? Oleg stopped Arkady from ending it, but then maybe he did anyway later? They'd have picked up that entire conversation between Aderholt(sp?) and Stan about Martha.

There hasn't been much on the Rezidentura this season. I'm hoping that corrects itself in the remaining episodes.

Having said that why execute Nina when she turned HERSELF IN and was cooperating with the Soviets? How does that merit a death penalty, unless it does boil down to dirty rotten commies?

And was the father using Bizzaro World negotiating tactics on behalf of Nina? Was he too late? Or did he use his influence to put the final nail in her coffin?
Of course it's sarcasm lol. There's no humanity in what happened with Nina or what happens there. They don't get to redeem themselves a bit for showing some humanity for immediately executing a chick that was convicted on her circumstances.

And I bet the father put the final nail because he didn't want Oleg to continue to be smitten and distracted.

Hoping we get more Rezidentura action. Arkady is awesome lol.

LOL...yeah, I knew it was sarcasm as I was stating the obvious. Agreed, they're not to be redeemed.

My wife was born in the Soviet Union and when they showed Nina in the cell, the first thing she said was "She's going die". I was like "Nah...". Always trust a Soviet.

I knew she was done for because you don't have 3 guards for 1 small woman. I don't know if it would be more humane to wait or just kill her there, but it saves time and desperate people may try to escape. They also aren't going to change their minds, so why wait?

I think that the father either didn't try or he had her killed to "improve" her situation because 10 years or whatever it was in Siberia wasn't going to be good and she would probably be killed at the end or die anyway.

It also shows how terrible they were. Philip and Elizabeth are always having this battle about their country and while they are the main characters, this reminds people that they are not the good guys.

                  Philip-Stan confrontation was classic.

Paige looks like she's becoming part of the team, but what happens if Pastor Tim and wife get in an accident?

Based on the previews it looks like the

I was just saying to myself last night, "wonder what Hans has been up to" and boom there he is.

For some reason I don't remember the resolution to the Kimmy handling last year. Or did they just drop it cold turkey?

The Paige stuff is great. Its all the small things that convey major developments. The biggest one for me this season was her ushering her parents into their bedroom for a debriefing.

Stan's son looked he walked into another dimension.

I heard on one of the podcasts with the showrunners that Kimmy will be back this season.

I thought last season they had too many plotlines going at once (Kimmy, South Africa, Paige, etc.), so I like that they've kept it pretty simple this year.

really enjoyed the last two episodes

ending with elizabeth kind of asserting herself to keep phillips mind off martha/remind him that he belongs to her was great

this last episode was fantastic as well, not knowing what's going to happen with martha. gabriel is obviously very upset with phillip...

                        where's martha going?

A grave. She is running, but she is going to jail or a grave. If the Soviets get her, she is dead even if Philip finds her first they will kill her later.

Certainly looking that way. I like the actions of the cool headed Gabriel, who seemed to empathize with Martha throughout the episode.

I wonder if she'll get captured and have to be grilled by Stan The Man?

I'm wondering if the Soviets plan to punish Phillip for allowing this to happen... could be an interesting twist, but would destroy any longevity of the show since Phil obviously can't win that battle, and it's not like they could/would run and hide.
