The Walking Dead (Season 7)
His character isn't ruining the show for me. The story theyre telling and the amount of episodes they're using to tell it is ruining the show for me.
I'm hoping the mid season finale is the turning point and we can begin the whole fighting back thing. I've had enough of this "woah look how awesome Negan is" and "look how ****ed the Rick group is". I want conflict.Last edited by kingkilla56; 12-05-2016, 02:48 PM.Comment

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 7)
I will slowly take back everything bad I said about Father Gabriel if he continues like this.
"What you said doesn't make you a sinner. It just makes you a tremendous piece of ****. Let's hope it's not terminal."
The pacing for this first-half of the season is definitely out of whack. There hasn't been any real progression.Comment

Also loved when he told Carl “You do the same damn stink eye as your dad, except it's only half as good because, well you know, you're missing an eye. Lol Just wrong-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 7)
Negan is a sociopath and rapist. But I get it. This show has so few good actors, when a damn good one grabs one by the horns, it's invigorating.
He's exactly the type of bad guy a series like this should have. He's actually one of the few people on the show that makes sense as a survivor. Most of the others would be dead in real life.
But this season has been awful. He's the only interesting thing about it. This fragmented storytelling decision has made episodes unbearable. Why are we spending 60 minutes (sometimes more!) on one place every episode?
I get what they are doing but I don't know if it was the right choice.
If ever a show needed an end point, this is one except it also doesn't make sense for the type of show it is. It's just dragging on too many storylines.
I wish they would move faster.
Also lol at Carl not shooting Negan. Absolutely awful writing. He's quick to fire at everyone else but wouldn't shoot the guy he hates most? What kind of crap is that? Don't write scenes that make zero sense. If he's not going to kill Negan because he's afraid then he should not kill anyone else.
I wish I could stop watching this series."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I'm hard on the show but I watch it every week so clearly it still grabs me."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: The Walking Dead (Season 7)
They do this for the first 3-4 episodes of every season. They spend an entire episode with each part of the fragmented group.
Completely agree. Carl shoots 2 people "I just want Neegan, no one else has to die." Negan shows up, Carl does nothing. This stuff with showing opportunities for characters to kill Negan but won't is infuriating.Check out my Tampa Bay Buccaneers CFM Thread.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 7)
This is in every TV show and movie ever. The person catches who they want (bad guy catches good guy usually)and then they just riff on it. The Incredibles actually made this part of the plot. If you're going to go get something done, don't stand around and watch or talk, do it. It never works out in the long run.
And for Negan to like the kid after that? It comes off as Negan is relieved Carl is an idiot.
Anyway, I'm in agreement. Just bothers me when there's easy ways for writers to avoid the dumb decisions they make. They could have even saved money by doing it right."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: The Walking Dead (Season 7)
This show is really starting to suck now. JDM could not be a worse cast for Negan.

It's a trope that always looks bad. But there's a solution. Don't let him take out random red shirts and then suddenly lose his balls.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 7)
You guys need to turn your brain off when watching Negan and his antics. Can't bring logic and reason to any part of this saga. You'll just end up annoyed and/or angry.
Just sit there and be cringed out or stroke off whenever Negan is chewing the scenery in every single one of his scenes.Comment
