I did a trial of CBS All Access and it's nice. They have a no-commercial option for like $12/month. The catalog is a bit inconsistent, there's a ton of old shows with complete catalog, some current shows only have 6-7 episodes available at a time, while other current shows have all from that season available, and in some cases some current shows have all seasons available.

IMO, the interface for Vue is much better on Fire TV than Roku. Roku gets the job done, but I prefer the look and usability of the interface on Fire TV.

My wife and I subscribe to CBS All Access, and we've had zero issues so far. I did the free trial for The Masters, and I'll continue to subscribe for the PGA Tour in addition to NFL, college hoops, etc. It's been a good experience so far.

We got rid of cable a month or so ago. We already had 2 Roku devices, but I paid for two months of Sling and got a third one for free for our other TV. A couple weeks into being a Sling user, and I'm not super impressed by the picture quality compared to Fubo TV (the only other service I've tried). Fubo has a much nicer picture, and as a big soccer guy, there are plenty of options with this service. That being said, I've had some short freeze issues during my free trial with Fubo.

I'm locked in with Sling until the first week of June, but I'm not sure which way I'll go after that. If I can count on Fubo, I'll probably go that route. If I can't, I'll probably stick with Sling. I'm a bit of a graphics guy, so it's hard for me to see Sling lag so far behind Fubo in the picture category. Decisions decisions..

Any recent feedback on Fubo TV?

Hulu Live TV is available now. I got the trial version...actually ended up canceling cable yesterday, lol. I'm just doing the trial of Hulu TV, not gonna keep it but it's yet another option for cord cutters

Hulu seems pretty overpriced compared to the others but you do get a regular Hulu subscription with it.

Yeah they're sneaky with their pricing cause it's $40/month but if you want DVR, that's another $15/mo.

Edit: Well I was partly wrong about the DVR. It comes with 50 hours of Cloud DVR. For that extra $15/mo, you get 200 hours and ability to fast forward through recorded commercials.

Right now I have DirecTV, but I'm getting tired of paying $108 for the watching the maybe 10 channels I watch...I'm going in between Hulu TV and PS Vue right now, doing free trials on both. I'm really most interested in YouTube TV, since you can watch all locals and AMC, so the only thing I'd have to add would be HBO.

You can't really find Nickelodeon or Nick Jr. on any of these yet, right?

I know it sounds crazy, but the kids channels are like required viewing...I'd probably get shanked if we didn't have Paw Patrol available.

PS Vue used to have Nickelodeon, but whomever the parent company of that is withdrew a couple months ago. Maybe check with Sling? I had that when I first started but I don't remember if Nickelodeon was on it.

Thought they were only getting rid of that 29.99 low level subscription and now making the lowest level 39.99......didn't see where they were raising all their subscription levels $10.

I received an email stating my plan is going from $44 to $54 a month. Guess it is time to start shopping around.
