    Re: Cord cutting

I'm waiting to see how goos the service is in practice, but my current Cable provider, spectrum, supposedly will have a $7.50 deal with apple, where you. use the Apple TV as your cable box.

It always comes back to DVR use for me. The number of commercials we are forced to watch as we try cord cutting options is kind of ridiculous.

We have put Dish on pause and have subscribed to YoutubeTV. Price is right and the channel lineup fit our needs the best. The service is pretty sharp on the Roku. The only hangup still is watching the Rockies. We have a Firestick running the Dishanywhere app but the quality is piss-poor.

We cut the cord (Dish) back in mid-January and haven't looked back. We use YTTV and Philo for live TV. We also have Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. I love not being tied down to that antiquated TV service, anymore.

Just picked up the 30 day free trial with Amazon Prime. For $9 a month it seems like something I will keep. Pretty much set now with Hulu Netflix and Prime along with CBS AA and the antenna for live TV. Just missing The Golf Channel and the MLB Network.

YouTube TV goes from 40 to 50 bucks. It does have the MLB Network but as time goes by these streaming services are fast approaching cable TV deals.

2 weeks into the cut cord experiment and get that 10 buck hike in price. Still a huge saving for us, we get our local channels, and MLB.

just wished youtubetv and other services offered more simultaneous streams, with 4 people in the household looks like only ps vue will suffice and even that has restrictions with certain types of devices. miss the old days where i hook up a tele to every cable outlet in the house without a box and tv would magically appear with no restrictions
Kenny: Ok Vic, I'm ready for some girl on girl action.
Vic: No Kenny, that's girl versus girl.
                Kenny: What's the difference?
Vic: Well, in one, one girl wins. In the other....
                Kenny: Everyone wins?!?!

maybe you can share between 6 profiles but trying to use 4 devices a the same time kick off 1 of them after a min or so.

Tough to trust online ordering from an unknown merchant. Anyone ever heard of offattae? Website says Ohio bsed. Offering Roku 3810r for $15 other websites have the same item for $60. Sounds too good to be true yes?

                        I never know...

I'm also seeing a lot of random IPtv sites posted in neighborhood FB groups. Where it's like 20 or 30 a month and they promise like every channel. Always feels like a scam but I never know.

They aren't a scam, but those aren't legal and they are just reselling access you could get on your own elsewhere

Spent some time on DTVN chat complaining about the price hike. Mentioned people getting $10 credits for up to 6 months. Dude offered 1 $10 month credit. So I'm still subscribed for another 30 days. Between Hulu , YouTube, Amazon prime video and Sirius xm... DTVN isn't worth it to me.

Pretty sure I'm moving on from DTV. Anyone have recent experience with sling? I had it like a year and 1/2 ago and it was alright.
