Re: Cord cutting
I blame getting older and feeling I have to be more frugal, lol. Truly, I am a good man; I am always in either of two places: work or home. I don't drink, do drugs, torture small animals, or a frequent addition to the daily police blotter. I think I deserve to spend a few extra bucks on an entertainment service that provides me some joy.Comment

Re: Cord cutting
Because Paramount+ is a buggy POS. It’s borderline unusable on some devices. There’s no controls (pause, fast forward, etc) on PS4 app.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds

Re: Cord cutting
Always tempted to cut the cord but local sports would suck...been reading that Sinclair, who bought Fox Sports regional channels for 10 billion, may work to get a streaming service next year, but also looks like NBA/MLB/NHL may be looking to not give them these rights...I just want them to figure out a simple way to stream any team. I'd drop cable, up my internet to unlimited and get one new streaming that has live tv channels and then add stuff like ParamountNintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

You can download the Bally app on most devices, or do it on a PC browser, then authenticate access using someone's DirecTV/whatever.
That's how I've used Fox Sports/Bally for 5+ years. Still doing it now.Comment

Re: Cord cutting
I have the mix and match plan now, I pay $99 for my internet 2.0 with the new router, the router is free as long as I keep my GB connection.
I pay $85 from my MORE FIOS TV plan.
I have verizon home 3 level billing and get an extra $10 off my bill. THis the discount you get when you have both Wireless and Home services. I get $10 off my cell bill as well.
I' paying about $189 a month now.
I was paying about $177 a month with my 1GB internet and youtube TV before I switched.N.Y Mets

Re: Cord cutting
I skimmed through the article and still don't understand, the article makes it seem like the deals with the RSN are in perpetuity (of course they aren't) and like the leagues are hostages to Sinclair or something.
Yes, it says that the leagues still make a lot of money from it, but there is also a lot of hand-wringing. So whenever the contracts are up don't resign with Sinclair et al and do your direct to customer service or force Sinclair et al into producing a better streaming service or stay with the RSN's and shut the **** up.
I'm sorry (not sorry), but I'm already tired of these Sinclair's/RSN articles making it seem like the league are passive actors in this situation.OSHA Inspector for the NBA.Comment
