YouTube TV is dead without ESPN. Although maybe that's Disney idea. Pull ESPN and watch people leave YTTV for Hulu.

Oh yea definitely dead if no ESPN… Yea that could very well be the case.

**** this sucks, really didnt want to make a switch… They have until Monday or Im out.

      Re: Cord cutting

How does it work if you cancel? I'm assuming you stay on until the end of your billing period?

My bill date is the 10th. So if I canceled Monday, I'd still be with YTTV through Jan. 9, I'm assuming, since I'm paid through then.

So I'm thinking the best approach for me is to take a wait-and-see. If they don't have an agreement by the 30th (Tennessee's bowl game) I'll cash in the free trial on Fubo. That will get me Tennessee's game and the CFP semifinals. And if they still don't have an agreement by the time my Fubo trial is up, I'll cancel YTTV and make the switch.

On the one hand, I'm optimistic they'll reach a deal because YTTV has to know it's screwed without ESPN. Problem is, Disney knows this too. And Disney stands to profit with Hulu.

Correct, I believe that is the case… Yea I may give it a week.

Gotta imagine IF this getting resolved it will be soon with all the bowl games coming.

Yeah it doesn't matter much now but Hulu does not carry the MLB Network.

I think it will have to come down to YouTube (google) caving to Disney. Disney has Hulu and they know that if they don't come to an agreement, most YouTube subscribers will probably switch to Hulu if they need those channels.

However, if Google does cave then that means the price per month will probably go up. I have a feeling it will either end up being $75 or $80 a month when it's all said and done.

All of you have said it all. ESPN and bowl season is a must for me.

Fubo checks all the boxes and even has the Strikezone Channel which is obviously a moot point, but still...On the main screen it shows Redzone but I can't find it in any of the package lineups, so I will have to go on assumption.

I love your scheming mind Wolf, I kick myself because I have already used a trial on Fubo, dang it.

I do believe YTTV is over a barrel here. Big picture for cord-cutters as opposed to cable/satellite subscribers, we have a choice to go to.

                Re: Cord cutting

I don't see what motivation Disney has to reach a deal. It's a win-win for them. Either YTTV gives them what they want or a bunch of people leave YTTV for Disney-owned Hulu. They really do have YTTV over a barrel.

I think YTTV eventually ponies up. And then early next year raises the cost - $75 a month sounds about right to me.

I saw where Fubo recently lost TBS and TNT. That makes Hulu more attractive. On principle, I'd hate switching to Hulu, but that may be what I do.

I currently have YTTV but I refuse to pay more than what I am currently paying. I can live w/o MLB. YTTV has to go along with Disney or they lose a ton of customers. Only drawback with Hulu is the neutered DVR.

Agreed, that is a big reason why I dont want to leave YTTV the unlimited DVR is awesome!

                    Hulu has limited DVR
Fubo has bigger DVR but then also doesnt have TBS, TNT... That is a big no for me when NCAA tourney is on.

UI is pretty slow and I'm getting some buffering issues. Hopefully it smooths out, but I'm not impressed. I will definitely go back to YTTV if the price isn't exorbitant after they get the ABC/Disney stuff figured out

I had read the interface is a mess compared to YTTV. Sounds like that's the case. But I guess Hulu makes the most sense for me if YTTV and Disney don't reach a deal.

Yeah the interface is pretty awful. Tedious to navigate

Very frustrating how few channels I actually watch yet I can’t find a streaming service that has them all. But my cable options around here also don’t have them all now and it’s crazy more expensive.

Looks like fubu is the way to go for me though, actually probably should have had it even before YouTube dropped espn. Only thing missing that I care about looks like tnt for nba games

And yea i was on Hulu at one point and I greatly preferred YouTube for interface and performance
