So dumb the USA app has a live option on iPAD, but not on the Apple TV version.
yeah- my daughter watched some shows on Nickjr and Nick. And ps Vue doesn't have those channels anymore. But shes 4. So no way I was going back to DirectV for a stupid kids channel.

90% of those shows she can watch on youtube- which she does.

Yeah my thought process was for Sling I had to pay for the most expensive plan plus the kids pack to get everything I wanted. With Vue, it didn't have Nick, but with Direct TV now the cheapest plan comes with all the channels I want and I can use the credentials to login to the Disney apps.

If I didn't have cable credentials for fox sports go I don't know what I'd do. Picture is so good too. Higher framerate than on cable.

Yup. Great value. After a few hiccups to start, it's been great.

For you stream service users (Sling, Vue, etc.)...how is the buffering? Is it like Netflix where it's virtually non-existent?

This would be for an internet speed of 100 mbps.

I have 100 mbps and have zero buffering with Vue. Every blue moon I will get a freeze and the video has to catch back up, but it never lasts more than 5 seconds.

This is with myself and my wife both streaming on different TVs, and both on our laptops.

I was about to ask you what you do to watch baseball...look at the channel listing...and see Vue picked up MLB Network!

This is definitely what I'm going to pursue.

my speed is slow. wireless internet 5-20mbps.

I have no buffering on non live shows.
live shows only buffers occasionally if my speeds drop below 2 mbps.
live sports buffer occasionally if my speeds drop below 4 mbps and the picture is a little choppy- unless my speeds always stay above 12-15 mbps.

                          Re: Cord cutting

I've been thinking about cutting the cord for a while, but finally made the move today. I've had TWC/Spectrum for a long time, but the service goes out all the time and I was tired of their prices. I'm very happy to finally give their cable services the axe.

I signed up for PlayStation Vue and it's quite impressive. It runs smooth and has most of the channels that I watch. CBS isn't available in my area, but I'm hoping that they'll get that sorted out soon. I can watch Amazing Race on their app, and find other means for sports in the meantime.

The lack of Viacom channels doesn't matter to me at all. My main thing was that I could watch UFC and other sports, and I'm good there.

Google Fiber is going to be in my area sometime in the near future and I'm looking forward to that a lot. One it's available I'm switching over to them for internet and leaving the Spectrum savages for good.

Are you actually in Durham, Pap (if the location on your forum posting is right)? I'm in the triad/piedmont area so I'm curious what local channels you were able to get in NC thru Vue (i.e. CBS, Fox, ABC, NBC, CW).

That's the part of tv streaming I'm worried about as I want to be able to access these channels.

Yes, I'm in Durham. If that's a big issue for you, then Vue probably isn't going work for you. The only local station it gets is ABC. Fox and NBC are on Demand. No CW. I'm sure things will change in time.
