So with internet and tv I will be paying like 166 a month instead of 224. So like 58 less. I can also like turn off YouTube tv for like 2-3 months of the year. I don't really watch tv in summer with no nba, NFL and NHL. I play a lot more video games in summer time because of lack of sports don't really care much for MLB. I just got a new like modem from Comcast today because they said the one I had couldn't go above 500 speed. I am not getting 800 though not even really close to it. I was able to get 700 with a wired connection and like 500-550 without. But yeah good to save 50+ a month. Hopefully YouTube tv with slow down its price increase I remember around 2019 it was like 35 a month compared to the now 73. With internet and streaming its still not cheap.
I admire your options, which are quite perfect. I live out in the sticks, pay $100 for 20megs, yeah, I am not kidding. I have split my yttv with my nephew over the last few years but losing MLB channel, I went out on my own with Fubo. I have a few days left to decide if paying 40/month is better than $109 just for the MLB Channel and eventually Altitude this fall for the Nuggets and Avalanche.

Good deals on Fire Sticks. The 4K Max stick is like $24. I bought the normal 4K Stick for $30 2 months ago

Youtube Premium upping their price to $13.99. Sucks, but this and Amazon Prime Video are the only streaming services I've had continously for the past 8-10 years. So it just means it's less likely a sign up for the odd month of Peacock or Paramount Plus here and there.

              Re: Cord cutting

I'm starting to wonder if I did the right thing by ditching Spectrum...the wife and I were using their streaming service and paying $40 a month, the reason we ended up cancelling though was the fact that we basically only kept it for my football fix...lol the ESPN networks along with NFL Network.

I thought "cutting the cord" would be cheaper in the long run, but I'm not so sure anymore.

As of right now we subscribe to Paramount+, Cinemax and Peacock...only 2 of those subs have football while cinemax has the movies my wife likes, but in order to get ESPN networks as well as NFLN I would have to subscribe to another package that has a bunch of "fluff" or "bloat" that either my wife or myself are interested in.

So in any case, I think I done goofed...lol

So at this point, I dont ever see MLBN coming back to YTTV... It's too bad really, I love everything about YTTV, just really missing the one channel that I want.

Anyone know of a streaming service like YTTV that has MLB Network?

                  Looks like DirecTV Stream maybe?

Funny, when looking into this I noticed MLBN still lists Youtube TV as a provider.

I miss MLBN, but I’m not dropping YTTV over it.

Yes it does. I did move over to FUBO to have the MLB Network but the cost made me revert back to YTTV. FUBO is almost as affordable as YTTV but it charges a large RSN fee that put the darn bill up to over $100.

YTTV has a 4K package with the big channels (ABC, NBC, etc). I don't have it so I'm not sure how much actual 4K programming there is

Yeah I checked it out it ain't much. Crazy how still today a lot of the content on streaming is 720 and 1080p. One reason why I didn't go for my lungs on a high end 4K display.

Amazon Prime Video adding an ad-free tier, and adding commercial breaks to its basic Prime Video service.

Not at all surprised. I think if Netflix and all these other streaming on-demand services had it to do over again they would have made their initial services ad-driven and not subscription $ based. Amazon was already pushing more and more of their content to their Freevee service. They are trying to keep commercial television alive because they make more money on it. Sad but true.
