Finally saw it last night. It was hilarious! The character Korg (the rock guy) stole the show for me. He stole every scene he was in.

Loved it as well, I thought it was hilarious and fun. The rock guy is actually the director.

If you like the humor, then check out What We Do in the Shadows. One of the funniest movies I’ve seen in the last couple years.

Just saw it with my kids. Absolutely hilarious. I was dying the whole movie. Hemsworth has great comidic timing and talent. He was great in Ghostbusters with that too. Anyways loved, loved this movie and thought it brought the Thor series back up to the top. Can't say enough good things. For me everything worked. Hela, Valkarye, the rock guy, grandmaster, Loki, hulk. Just great. My one and only complaint was how quickly

Away for the long weekend and took this in with some family/friends. Me and some others didn't care for it. Others loved it. Personally I thought it was way too silly and didn't think some of the jokes landed. The dialogue between Thor/Hulk and Thor/ Banner was sloppy. Actually thought pretty much the whole depiction of the Hulk was off. Not a Goldblum fan and this didn't help. The Valkerie swagger didnt grab me either. Some other aspects that have been mentioned didn't sit well. Did like Hela and the back story. But I don't see the GOTG comparison.

Who compared this to GotG?! That's not accurate at all imo and I loved this movie.

And yeah, that chic was bad ***, man. Probably my favorite villain of these movies.

I thought it was hilarious. It had a guardians of the galaxy vibe to it.

My wife and I both enjoyed this...the jokes made us laugh and the vibe/feel was cool.

Then again, we were fans of the first 2, and I know the Thor humor is somewhat knocked a bit vs. the other movies.

Not one of the top MCU movies, but we loved watching it. Has me wanting to see Doctor Strange now, along with GOTG2 (both are streaming) and then Spiderman when it's streaming. We have 3 kids under 4, so don't get out to the movies much lol

Never posted my thoughts on the movie here. I was (foolishly) expecting so much more. No substance to the story. Funny as hell, and a fun watch. I know I'll like it more when I watch it again, but I was disappointed.

                          Re: Thor: Ragnarok

I watched this over the weekend. I thought it was hilarious as there were several moments that had me cracking up. I do agree with the others that the plot seems like a big deal in MCU that was glossed over with a lot of jokes. I also wasn't a big fan of how they played Hulk - he was much more calm and controllable which is a change from how unpredictable and raging he was in previous movies in that form. That's not to say that I didn't enjoy some of his lines...the one part in the movie where he's bouncing a ball off the wall while Thor talks to the Valkarie just cracked me up.

It was a good movie but it wasn't overwhelming like my friends had made it out to be...definitely better than the first two though.

One minor/obsolete point: the graphics for the action sequence when Thor's eye is gauged out was terrible. His eye gets hit and it's immediately just a large circle of purple/black makeup? C'mon, gotta do better than that.
