Fair enough. Overarching point of my post still stands, though.

Britt McHenry's name caught my eye on the reduced list.

I tried to look it up, but couldn't find anything (because the past 72 hours has nothing but the lay-off material)... but was she the one put on leave for berating a service employee on camera or something?

Her car got towed and she was caught on camera being nasty to an employee.

Nice to see Brian Windhorst, the 400 lb NBA "Insider" who looks like he's never played a game of basketball a day in his life, made the cut when experienced vets like Ed Werner and Danny Kanell got cut.

I think they're tolerable when they had their show "His & Hers" or some crap but something like SC which should be for analysis and reporting is NOT the venue for basically hot takes and opinion+spin.

Isn't Windhorst tight with Lebron? I think he's their Lebron reporter so OF COURSE he makes the cut.

Umm first off his name is Ed Werder, and he never played football. So your point is kind of totally wrong.

With all the layoffs how in the yell did Donovan McNabb keep his job at ESPN?
Dude rambles and rambles on about nothing constantly, I cannot stand listening to him.
Throw that in with his 2 DUI's he has had in the last 4 years (including one extreme DUI in which he lied to cops and was twice the legal limit) and ESPN keeps him?

^ In all fairness to him, the only tie game occurrence before that during his career that I could find was a Falcons-Steelers game in 2002 (neither in his division). Not exactly a commonality.

The easy argument against him though, besides the fact that he should know the rules (especially as a quarterback), is that every team's record has three tallies. I wonder what he thought the last one was always for?

All that being said, I am by no means implying that he should remain as an ESPN personality, on television or radio... especially above some of the others that were let go.

I still think they missed the boat on Scott Van Pelt...one of the few genuine sports folks in the industry I care to listen to.

They could've had an 11pm set, similar to what Comedy Central did for Jon Stewart or Colbert...satirical or honest monologues about sports, a skit or something, then interviews with various athletes. Instead, he's like a hybrid SportsCenter at 12am.

I don't get why he gets axed but this Britt McHenry girl keeps her job.

Chad Ford and Mark Stein also out. Ford is done in 60 days after NBA draft is over.
