    Yeah, they still do.

Depending on the artist, you can views in the millions, which is more exposure you'll get than showing it on MTV/VH1/BET.

Hopefully, ESPN goes the same route as MTV and VH1 and begins doing more reality TV. I mean, who's not excited to see the next Real World, Teen Mom or "Of Love" show, but with athletes.... Okay, maybe not the Teen Mom one, but the rest could be good.

Everyone watches them on YouTube now, some videos have over a billion views.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Glad to see ESPN is doing poorly, I don't like politics with my sports and I certainly don't like how they are pro-SEC. ESPN has had too much success for too long and it's time they be brought down a peg or two!!

I legit cant believe Marc Stein got the axe.

Its amazing to me how they get rid of quality NBA and to a lesser extent NHL reporters, during the playoffs.

You can see the demographic they are appealing to though by the people they chose to keep.

Also, someone asked if I still worked at ESPN and I do not, I left 2 years ago. Happily might I add

Ethan Strauss was really perplexing, since he was the Warriors beat writer. Cutting him in the thick of the NBA Playoffs is just cold. I mean, they worked out a deal with Chad Ford, you'd think they would've allowed Strauss to stay on through the Finals.

His story on Curry was the lead story on the website yesterday, too.

The rumor is that they're clearing out space to make room for acquiring The Vertical. Jim Miller (the guy that wrote the ESPN book and the most plugged in reporter there) hinted on Richard Dietsch podcast that part of Woj's negotiations might have been getting rid of some of his competition. It's better PR for both Woj and ESPN to roll those decisions into the bigger layoff umbrella.

I read about that on FB the other day and I got to say, if true, Woj is one cold bastard but I guess it's good on him for taking down his competition. We see this kind of cut throat behavior in all aspects of life. It shouldn't surprise anyone that it happens in the sports journalism world.

I can't speak for NBA Network, but when it comes to Networks MLB and NHL blow all of them out of the water. They will actually show 1-2 minute highlights from each game. NFL Network used to do that but now it seems like more fluff than highlights. As for ESPN, if your going to say you cover each sport, there should be absolutely no talking between highlights. They have so much to cover and still it's like two clips from a game and move on to a 5 min talking segment.

For me I watch for the highlights and want to see game progression. Not just two big plays from each game, a flash of the final score and move on.

                          Just my opinion.

Yeah for NFL game highlights I just watch their youtube channel where most of the game highlight videos are 4-10 minutes long depending on what happened.

NFL-N's GameDay Final used to be such a throwback to the days of NFL Primetime but now it's morphed into just Gameday Prime where it's Deion Sanders and his posse talking for the bulk of the show. It's rather disappointing though I've often said that he, Faulk and Irvin should have their own podcast. They have great chemistry together but it's not what I want from an end of week wrap up show.

i hate the stupid stuff they do where they are skyping dudes in the locker room. Like I love the highlights, the post game press conferences, etc. Everything else, they are just overthinking it, or trying to be too creative. IM not tuning in so i can see you skype with someone, and most of the time it is cringe inducing. Deion is a cool dude, we all know this, he doesnt have to get into regular clothes and talk in slang skyping some kid, basically i turn it off when it gets there.

As long as they have hi-lights and press conferences rolling im in.
