I think SC realized a normal SC isn't feasible at this time slot so this is their idea...something different with folks that have a good chemistry and a show that was popular. Not sure how it's going though as I haven't researched the ratings.
Good points. I haven't really been a big Jamele fan from back when she was in Detroit, so that's probably more why I'm not a fan. Michael Smith is way better IMO. Jamele would try and be way too controversial just to get readers in the paper or on tv back in the day. I always liked Michael on ATH and other stuff, whereas Jamele would annoy me. I wish Stuart Scott was still with us, he would have been amazing hosting a show like this. Or maybe with SVP? Loved Stuart Scott.

I think Mike & Mike already hits that atmosphere...so I would view it as trying to broaden the audience.

I'm iffy on whatever they're doing with Mike Greenberg in the morning...Not optimistic. Much prefer local sports talk over their generic show.

If you think the only people into the kind of things Jemele and Michael are talking about are black, then you're not paying attention to the world you live in. You ever seen the crowd for a Waka Flocka concert? Not a lot of "street cred" in there lol.
True. If ESPN was looking specifically to get more African American viewers for that SC, they are dumber than even we give them credit for. Too small and too specific of a demo, and it's one they already do really well with. I'm thinking they were looking for the 35 and under demo. That 6pm SC could be pretty dull prior to Hill/Smith. Lindsay Czarniak just didn't cut it.

I use to love Mike and Mike, lately they bore me to death.

True...great points. I was looking too much into the Undefeated as well, where they were obviously pushing in that direction.

Absolutely, it's straight to the point, and no bull****. Love Quick Pitch. I love the MLB network as a whole though. Some times they get a little goofy, but it doesn't feel forced like ESPN's baseball crew.

I just personally feel as if ESPN did everything they could to piss me off, and absolutely loathe their network.

Jemele Hill, Jalen Rose, Screamin A, Max Kellerman, the entire baseball crew, Le Betard...

I mean it just never ends. **** I hate ESPN.

They need to put McDonough back on SNB and put one of the Davis (Rece or Mark) on MNF.

From what I can tell, ESPN has figured you guys out. Because it sure seems like the ones complaining the most are also watching it the most.

Well when there's a game strictly on ESPN, you kind of have to deal with the garbage. That's the point. I can't stand the baseball crew, but if the Yankees are just on ESPN that night I'm forced to watch them.

So you want people falling to sleep watching SNB? Sorry, Shulman isn't the problem on that telecast.

Rece or Mark Davis aren't exactly household names to put on MNF. At least McDonough has a pedigree there. I actually think he meshes well with Gruden. It's the Summerall/Madden formula at work there. A staid, by the book PBP guy with a color man with a lot of personality.

I'd like to cast a vote for Jon Miller back to SNB.
