I thought it was a good strong opener. The only part that really made me cringe was Gabriel just not shooting Negan in the face.

Other than that though, I'm ready to see what else this season will bring.

I thought that too then, well, there's still another thought.

Gabriel is Negan's leech informant. It explains the trash people turning on Rick. In the end, Gabe is still a !@#$$$##@@$$#

This show is losing a lot of people.
Not much talk about it here at OS anymore either.
I thought last night may have been one of the worse episodes in the entire series.

Not much talk about it here at OS anymore either.
I thought last night may have been one of the worse episodes in the entire series.

I am riding season 8 out.....but the show has lost all of it's charm and steam and IMO....is going to fade away or end very very soon.

I realize it is based on a comic book, but what made the first 5 seasons so great was you really cared about the group. After season 5.....meh. The show has really gone downhill and has become very campy in a bad way.

It had a great run. But is really long in the tooth now.

This show is back to being a drag for me. No real good moments, you knew almost everything that was gonna happen

Morales getting killed, Eric dying, and Ezekiel and Carol being under fire after going untouched

These long drawn out build ups to a final "war" a la the Governor (barf) take so long with no real movement.

Then you have

Morgan running off again saying he can't do this.

Pretty sure we've done that story line and it was painful the first time.

Loved the dialogue between Rick and Morales. Shame they killed him off so quickly.

I don't like the battle of extremes that's been going on between Morgan and Jesus. Jesus trying to take prisoners and then Morgan trying to say they are the same. How the hell are you the same as the Saviors? Are you guys trying to make slaves??? Likewise with what Rick and Daryl are heading towards...

I don't really know what to think of this show anymore. It's just all over the place.

Sometimes I like it. Sometimes I'm bored with it. I'm getting really tired of someone getting captured every episode though . Its gotten old.

I'm still watching but barely.

You just summed up my feelings too.
I finally got around to watching the latest episode last night.
I couldn't keep my eyes open watching it and I wasn't even tired when I started watching it.
It is just the same things over and over.
I wish they would change the direction of the show.
Go to some other part of the country and see how people are living.
Tell us what happened to all of the weapons and such that the Army has.
Try to find a group working on a cure for this disease.
I just feel like they have already done this season before back when they fought the Gov.
I am totally bored with this show!

I agree, my wife even forgot it was on on Sunday!! Maybe they need some new blood in the writing room.

All I know is this sitting and watching people I vaguely know fire machine guns at other people I definitely do not know for 42 minutes isn't what I call compelling entertainment.

I knew this season would suck, I was losing interest 3 to 4 episodes in the final few last season!

And the first two of this season were so meh!!!

Random thing this bugged me and my co-workers last night.
When Carol hit the button to open the gate, how did it open?
There is no electricity.......

Another super boring super uneventful episode.
They need to end this show, give us one more season at most.
The writing is just horrible.
