I would be shocked if James Cameron doesn’t get them to rerelease Avatar before the sequel comes out so it can retake the lead again.

I would love to see the box office numbers for an avatar re-release.

Avatar may have done it as an IMAX 3D re-release or as part of its Oscar bid or something, not sure. I think the excuse somewhat matters.
They also added 9 minutes of extra scenes cost them 1 mill per minute to add the CGI

The Endgame re-release is a strategy to beat Avatar at the box office... but unlike Avatar, Endgame is not incorporating new content into the film.

No, that's fine. Do you know that the Avengers extra footage is, though?

The scenes are all post-credits (which they did announce, but is still rough that it's not integrated within the timeframe), and one is an actual deleted scene (who knows if it had finished CGI, color timing, sound mixing, etc.), a tribute to Stan Lee, and a clip from Spider-Man: Far From Home. Like, they were home video bonus features, not an extended edition of the film

          What the bonkers is that??

Haven't seen the re release of Endgame but did hear what was added and there is no doubt that Avatar did it best with the added scenes, wish Endgame would have gone that route but at the end of the day they both did it to make more money and it worked for both. Wouldn't be surprised if the first Avatar is re released limited screens right before Avatar 2 comes out.

Didn't know if we should start a D23 thread for all the Marvel stuff or not.

There's going to be 23 episodes of Marvel's What If...? animated series, one for each movie.

One of the first ones is What if Peggy Carter took the serum instead. Spoilers contain what the audience was shown.
