Re: Avengers: End Game
There's not really a "Marvel Updates" thread, so I'll just keep posting stuff here.
Marvel Studios is exploring different avenues to introduce Deadpool (still being played by Ryan Reynolds). 3 of the options are a third solo film under the Marvel Studios banner, a Disney+ limited series, or appearing in the 3rd Spider-Man movie.
If it's the third option, I hope they never say anything. Don't show him in any trailers, don't have Ryan Reynolds do any press beforehand, just have Deadpool randomly show up in the movie.Last edited by TripleCrown9; 05-25-2019, 10:56 PM.Boston Red Sox

Re: Avengers: End Game
Was able to catch the final hour of Endgame in theaters again after Aladdin (literally the moment after Prof. Hulk snaps his fingers), and although it was glorious, it feels better earned after watching the first two hours before it (plus Infinity War all before that, if you're able). The fight felt significantly shorter when all joined up. I didn't time it, but it seemed like 10-12 minutes (it was probably like 20-25 though, knowing me heh).
The theater was still rather full, but they weren't quite as responsive to moments. Maybe they've all seen it before, I don't know. But with Tony's death, the room definitely started to get dusty. There was somebody in the back corner who literally sounded like she just lost her uncle. Speaking of which, I paid more attention to Happy right after Tony's daughter said she wanted a cheeseburger, and Jon Favreau said so much with his facial expression by saying absolutely nothing at all. He was just in shambles. What a great moment.

Re: Avengers: End Game
Rumor has it Scarlet Witch may get her signature reality altering powers in her Disney+ series. That could define the following phase of movies depending on how far they take it.
Maybe they'll do the opposite of 'no more mutants' ...Comment

Re: Avengers: End Game
I liked Marvel Quicksilver's character more, but I also liked FOX Quicksilver's action scenes better.
I love when time stops and speedsters get to work.
The Mansion scene is still my absolute favorite thing I've ever seen in any X-Men movie. The fact that everything slows down and he's still moving fast in some parts shows how fast he really is.

If they can bring Quicksilver back, and do more stuff like that, I'm totally down.Boston Red Sox

Re: Avengers: End Game
Exactly, Pietro in the books was of course portrayed a bit older.... more sullen and bitter. He didn't have that wise-***/punk presentation as in the current X-Men movies. Don't get me wrong, the slow mo scenes are cool and trippy, but it almost makes him appear "too fast".Comment

Re: Avengers: End Game
What is "too fast" for a speedster? That's kinda what they do.
There's an entire episode of Flash that takes place while a nuclear bomb is detonating. The fastest speed he's reached in the show is roughly 65 million MPH.
Not sure what qualifies as "too fast".Boston Red Sox

Re: Avengers: End Game
Too fast is when you tap into your speed to stop something and then everything that's ever happened is called into question because you should've been running that fast last week and could've stopped all of this in the first place. Super speed as a concept on TV/movies is almost as wonky to me as time travel. It's easy to mess up.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: Avengers: End Game
And it's just as easy to not think about.
If Flash used his absolute top speed every week, there'd be no point in having the show at all.
*Crime alert* "Barry are you..." "Hey guys I'm back. I stopped all the crime everywhere."
Gotta let the imagination run wild every now and then.
There was an instance in the comics where he was having a conversation with his therapist. At the exact same time, he was helping rebuild Central City after some disaster. He was running back and forth the whole time, and the therapist never noticed him leave.

Re: Avengers: End Game
Everything absolutely needs some kind of explanation, even if it's just knowing this is how things work in the universe, otherwise **** is just happening at random. It's one thing to not think too hard on a movie, having to watch a movie and actively avoid thinking about all the crap happening that makes no sense even in the context of the movie/shoe is just not a good time. Logical consistency is the bare minimum for me. To each his own.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it
