They've stopped for a while now. I think they only do it if they don't have enough shots for the episode.

I'd go out and spend the money on the best outdoor gear. Those pants that can unzip to become shorts, and are made of a materiel that dry very quick. Same with a shirt. Also a big floppy hat.

I think the producers stop that. I remember something about it at one point, you bring clothes but they tell you what to wear. Some of the people wearing dress shirts and slacks like they are going to the office is stupid and I can't believe they would be that stupid.

I fully believe producers dress them/give them option between a few selections.

Ever notice how players are often colour coordinated?

Any smart player who is allowed to do so, would come on Survivor with dri fit like clothes which dry very fast(both a tshirt and hoodie ), pants with pockets and zips off too like mentioned above, a hat, and even if they don't need it, bring glasses if you want to help make fire early on.

I think they changed it up once they started providing more food and limiting everything they can do. Maybe it was a trade off when they didn't need to survive the conditions much, they took away the outdoor clothing.

I wish they would bring the survival aspects back. The game is too tilted to the weaker players as there is no need to keep strong players that can provide food at camp. When was the last time anyone had to even ration rice?

Did you forget when Angelina sacrificed everything to heroically bring her tribe rice? I think that was before she almost died climbing a 50 foot ladder lol.

But the show they want is to be one about the social elements of the game and strategizing. Less about the challenges and survival part of it.

I've been thinking about the Survivor season groupings. 1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39. I really feel like 30-39 has been my least fave of all. 10-19 was my fave. Need to get back to those days of Survivor. It was still survival aspects, but mixed in was the new strategizing with the hidden idol and all that stuff.

                  Task:
Get your tribe to name you the caller for the immunity challenge.

                  What should've happened:
Volunteer to be the caller once you get to the challenge, or even after treemail.

                  What happened instead:
Noura: Hey, everyone vote me for this thing regarding the challenge. I can't say what it is, but if you want to know what the challenge is, vote for me and then I'll tell you what the challenge is. Ok great! I'll be the caller then. Why do I think I should be caller? Because you guys gave me the power to do choose what I wanted to be. Could I have been retriever instead? Maybe? But what are you guys talking about? How does this sound complicated?

The best line of the show, and the best line of the season so far, was Boston Rob commenting on Noura as caller:

"she can't coherently communicate anything to anyone"

Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika Christensen

It's funny and sad how Rob and Sandra's side comments are actually the best parts of the season so far.

Her getting voted to sit out after her play to be the caller was hilarious.

There is no way that women wins this thing after that performance.

It's also weird how they keep those two sequestered in some box during tribals. Anyone else look around to see any evidence of where they are?

I'm sure people can't see them.

And if they did see people sitting up there, that would be one of last things they think of. There's cameras all over, they'd probably just think it's another camera up there.

It's like the Tony spy shack(which this has actually been compared to). People thought others should've been able to see him hiding there since the camera would be following him, but when you're seeing many cameras 24/7, you don't think anything out of the ordinary if one might be in a diff spot.

That's 2 voted out now with an idol in their pocket. I think Jeff should announce that when he snuffs out their flame. "The tribe has spoken and you leave with an idol in your pocket. This is now back in play".
