If you mean Anthony Michael Hall was miscast for the character you saw on screen in this film, I thought he was fine. If you mean he was miscast as Tommy, I agree... but forty years can do a lot to a person who is very wrecked from a childhood torment, heh.

Heck, look at Laurie. Removing every Halloween film but the original, I'm surprised people don't feel her character evolution turned too macho and one-dimensional in 2018. Not in a bad way, but that she lives only for one purpose now, which is something I think she over-obsessed with for a forty-year stretch while a man was locked away, maybe not even thinking about her at all. Anyway, I mentioned all that once before... but besides the fact that it's still Jamie Lee Curtis and I can't call it a "miscast," I found it to be an interesting choice of character change.

Exactly right….Michael Anthony the actor is fine….just did not like Tommy’s character portrayal.

I also do like it was not about Laurie Strode. And it was about Michael coming home. Because that was the original’s tag line in 1978.

In terms of Halloween sequels since the original….this ranks very high.

I can argue Halloween II and 2018 were clearly the best sequels in the lore and my favorite potential ends to the Original Halloween….and then comes Halloween IV and Kills in the next tier for me personally.

There are so many ways to watch this series it can get dizzy lol!

But IMO Carpenter wanted it…..

Well it is October, and a new Halloween movie just came out.

But we can discuss any horror, so don't be shy, would love to hear your thoughts on anything. I love hearing about how people rank certain movies and stuff like that.

An intreresting note about an old character in Kills.

Loomis was a real person look a like with a 12 piece prosthetic to make him looking like Loomis. So the effects were totally practical. No CGI or deep fake. The voice was actually from the real Donald Pleasence. Pretty awesome.

Was one of the best parts of the movie and I'm shocked that's how they did it.

I havent watched the new Halloween yet cause im in the middle of binging the Chucky movies but then I have to catch up on Candyman, plus whatever's on the marathons and streaming sites. Not enough time in the day.

Halloween Kills was better on my second watch. Still has the same weakness in the final act.

But a solid sequel. Much better than most of canon sequels except:

Halloween II
Halloween IV

Watched Burnt Offerings on TCM last night while flipping back to the NLCS.....man that movie is a true classic haunted house flick.

One of my favorite “creepy” 70’s movies ever. If you have never seen it.....do so with the lights off late at night. A great film.

Not the best movie or story this year in horror, but I was definitely entertained by that insane plot.

Can't wait for more (and hopefully seeing it in theaters).
