Good news, but in order to see another true Friday movie staring Jason Voorhees, Victor Miller and Sean Cunningham will need to come to some sort of agreement.

I do find it both ironic & funny that Sean S. Cunningham owns the rights to "masked" Jason even though he's been on record saying he "hates" that iteration of the character.

He literally tired to "sabotage" or kill off that version of Jason. [emoji38]

Victor Miller hates everything after the first one too. Said he hasn't seen a single sequel.

But money talks, so let's hope they can come to an agreement to get us another film. I'd even take the TV series that was in development that had to be canceled.

The fifth one was great. I've been waiting on when they would do another one again.

The first one is mediocre at best, and the fourth one (3D) was bad.

Yeah the 5th one was the Stock Car opening scene? That was entertaining. 4 was terrible.

I had heard last week that people coming out of early screenings were super happy with it. Said it did Wes Craven justice.

It's a really solid entry, probably my favorite behind the original, and a great tribute to Wes Craven.

I actually read the novel which was called Meg (Steven Alten) back in 1997 that the first movie was extremely loosely based on. It was a great book. The movie was....fun. But nothing like the science we got in the novel.

Will be interesting to see what this sequel will do.

I see that Alten wrote a bunch of sequels too.....may have to pick them up and give them read.

I have two questions about the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Is it a direct sequel to the first one, similar to what Halloween did with their recent movies?

And (this is the dumb question), it is a movie correct? I only ask because it's Netflix, and I wasn't sure if they'd try to make it a limited series or something.
