    Mad World is awesome. I like the Gary Jules version a lot better than the tears for fears one.

    Another cover that isn't bad is the red hot chili peppers cover of love rollercoaster

    And then there is the black crowes cover of hard to handle.It's almost as good as otis redding's version

      I like Haste the Day's cover of "Long Way Down". It was originally done by The Goo Goo Dolls.
      NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
      NFL - Buffalo Bills
      MLB - Cincinnati Reds

        All the Waylon Jennings' fans need to take a listen to Uncle Tupelo's cover of "Are You Sure Hank Done It This Way?"

            "Whiskey in a jar" by Metallica is very good. Sorry Thin Lizzy, but Metallica owns you on this one.

              I like even Warren Zevon's better because he was dying and he knew it. You could almost hearing him pleading at the end of the song.

                  LOL, nice.

                  Some of those comments are just ridiculous. I don't know what's more mind blowing, that they don't realize it's a joke or that they actually think the original is a good song.

                              I actually like Seal's cover of Sam Cooke's "A Change is gonna come" better than the original.

                              EDIT: And the auto-playing embedded music in this thread is VERY annoying.

                                Not really a professional cover, just a guy from youtube, but a great one none the less. The tone is perfect:

                                <object width="425" height="344">

                                <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/cuPSSyF5UE0&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></object>

                                Watching his hands - it just shows how over charted and under charted the song is at times in GH2. The main riff is a hell of a lot easier to play on the real guitar than in the game.
