My theory on why the controller is made that way. This is pure speculation, Its wireless and will work in conjuntion with the eyetoy, the eyetoy can pick up its movement so when you play racing games(thats why it looks like half a steering wheel) so when you turn right the car turns. This is what sony is talking about chang3. People are forgetting what sony is doing with its controller and its functionallity this is why it has the blue tooth technology.

This is why I made this statement about the controller. Welcome Chang3 this controller will be used in conjunction with the eyetoy.

Out of the box, the PS3 will have the capability to support seven Bluetooth controllers, which can be used for nearly 24 hours before they require charging. It will also have six USB slots for peripherals: four up front and two in the back. As rumored, it will also have Wi-Fi connectivity to the PSP, which can be used as a remote screen and/or controller.

Dr. Richard Marx, the inventor of EyeToy, was on hand to show off the PS3's wireless HD IP Camera. The demo, recalled rumors that the machine will have Minority Report-esque motion-sensing capabilities. Marx held two small cup-like objects in his hands, which move the cups on the screen in real time.

About 1/2 way through they show Kill Zone ! It is the most amazing thig I have ever seen in a video game. Reminded me of Saving Private Ryan.

Is it still set for Spring 2006...Im really really hoping they bump it up to the Holiday season. I might be tempted to buy the 360 if the PS3 isnt there and I know I wont have the dough to buy both.

Yep. I gotta agree. That controller is ugly. It sorta looks like it's a pair of handlebars on a tricycle.

Ok, so the controller is not the best looking. But what's wrong with the console itself. I LOVE how sleek it looks. Personally, I think it looks better than 360. Now the controller, that's a different story.

Ok, so the controller is not the best looking. But what's wrong with the console itself. I LOVE how sleek it looks. Personally, I think it looks better than 360. Now the controller, that's a different story.

It's just plain ugly. Usually sony makes some nice looking stuff but that thing looks terrible.

looks like a scanner to me. A scanner and a boomerang. It will look good sitting on top of my 360 though.

GT4 looks unreal... UN-****IN'-BELIEVABLE... saw Killzone... hell even Mobile Suit Gundam looked absolutely INCREDIBLE....

A MUCH better showing than MS.... let's hope that MTV show was just a poor decision by MS...

at first i hated its design and love the specs...

but the more i look at the silver model the more i like it.
It looks like a GUN!!!!!!!

im not judging the controller until i hear some first hand accounts of how it plays or I get to use it myself.

man its going to be tough not breaking down and getting an xbox too.
and here i was ready to quit gaming ;_______;

whats next a new nintendo console launch? SHEESH!
