Well I've been playing this game since release day. My only gripes are the slow *** spawning and loading between rooms, not being able to check the time limit of games without joining the games and the lack of weapons(not a fan of the light machine guns). If they patch those things, then we have a perfect game imho. I'm glad I changed my mind about getting rid of my PS3.

I LOVE the high precision. I'm getting a lot more kills with it on, just feels right imo. I think I have to bump the sensitivity on my controller a notch when using HP.

Mush, I'm usually on around 9pt and go all night depending on how good the games are going. I have a few UFC league fights to get done tonight, so I'll be on after.

What is the high precision?

When Killzone 2 was first released, many players bitched about the control system, complaining that they weren't responsive enough for their twitchy fingers. Those players can rejoice with the arrival of Patch 1.27, and the new "High Precision" control option that should satisfy their demands.

"When this option is switched on, it makes the analog sticks more responsive to small movements," explains multiplayer lead designer Eric Boltjes. "Turned off, the controls behave exactly as they did before the patch. It’s not a radical overhaul of the control system, so the layout and the ‘weight’ of the controls remain the same."

Still, a lot of us here at Guerrilla really enjoy the new High Precision option, so we’ve decided to switch it on by default for new players. Existing Killzone 2 players will have the option turned off by default after patching – we wouldn’t want to force a sudden change to the controls on you!"

It saved the game, imo.

What is the high precision?

High precision makes the smaller control movements more responsive when aiming, less sluggish. You have the option to turn it on or off as well.

Have any of these recent patches made it easier to play with friends ??? I rented the game on release and it took too much effort for me and a buddy to hook up and continue to play. Did any of the patches make this process easier ??

Absolutely. When you sign in you can choose join friend or clan member and be put immediately on their squad. It is great!

That sounds more like it. Before it would put you in the same game as a friend but not always the same team. It got annoying fast.

Me too. Just played both of them in the Skirmish mode, and they are nice. Not quite as vibrant as I thought they might be, but nice rain effects and overall grittiness.
