also...the boss battles are challenging and fun. Good thing there are a lot of them. There is nothing like the satisfaction of winning a hard fought boss battle.

This game sounds like a lot of fun, but I think I might be a little scared, because some poeple are genuinely annoyed by some things with this game. So, forgetting the price, would you guys buy this game or PGR 3?

I don't really think a GTA style game time wise (where you can do anything whenever you want) would really give the same feel. Then it'd just be GTA with zombies, ick
Very good point. I think that if this game was more like GTA with zombies, it would get old fast. As much as I hate the time limit myself, I find it that it keeps me on my toes. It's good since it brings this game a very good challenge. It would get really boring just running around and attacking zombies all day. I think that Capcom could make a GTA style game work as long as you have time limits to save people and complete objectives without having to worry about missing a case.

Upon futher play while the gameplay engine and graphics are just fine the design has to be the absolute worst complete utter **** I've ever seen in a videogame and acording to gamerankings.com I've played 4/10 of the worst games ever.

30-40 minutes between save points with 2 boss battles? That's horrible. It shouldn't take 86 shots to kill a PERSON when it only takes one to kill a zombie and all that did was get rid of the gunner in that jeep wich in the end did no good. As I mentioned when I posted demo impressions there's a severe lack of useful weapons and they all run out too fast. Also previously mentioned the horrible save and time systems. Then there's the only designed for HDTV writing at the bottom of the screen.

Seems the best option is to keep playing the first part over and over untill I get a high enough level to have a bunch of health and hold a bunch of items.

Don't know if this glitch was mentioned but the voices stop working if you've got a custom soundtrack on.

have you even tried using books? there are books around that make various weapons last 3 times longer (bladed, household, other ones i forget)....I've yet to get into the ones that enhance attacks or health items...

granted this game isn't perfect, but i think there might be more there than you've seen so far

I would kill for oblivion style saving though, that way I'd know I didn't screw myself over somehow

The only book I found was for 10% more points.

I'm sure there's plently more because I can't get past the guys in the jeep even with the uzi and trying to steal their gun wich just gets me run over.

It doesn't need Oblivion saving, just have a save point in the start of every area would be much better.

yeah, i had trouble with them at the start, just avoided them (they almost killed me and i let Sophie get killed), but once i got into the game they never seemed to be around when i was running through to the other parts of the mall....i'm sure on my 2nd runthrough I'll figure out how to take them out.

Aiming still kinda sucks, but I am getting a lot better at it as I go on...not an excuse, but i find I can actually use guns now, whereas earlier i really disliked them

sniper rifle will kill the convicts EASY. Make sure they hit a tree and stop for a few minutes, Snipe the gunner out in like 3 shots, then take his gun and shoot the other 2

I found a trick to bypassing these three guys. Once I left the Mall I got the cutscene. I stayed to the left until I got to the Mall entrance and I never encountered them once. Also I did this while there was day light and not when it was dark.

I was expected to get shot or run over but it never happened.

Last night I decided it was time to start all over again. I started over at level 11, and boy does it help make some parts of this game so much easier. I plan to get to level 20 or 25 this second run through by saving the survivors and killing the zombies, and then I'll start over again to play the main story. My original plan was to beat the game in the first try, but I think it's much easier when your more powerful. I took out Carlito the first time in matter of minutes as before it took longer.

Rod, if you stick to the left when you get out of the mall most of the time they won't see you. Those guys are a pain.

Has anyone tried to blow up the jeep yet with the propane tank? USF said that it's supposed to make the jeep disappear forever so no respawn as someone posted it on GameFaqs, but it's hard trusting people over there.

I've yet to try the convicts again, i think at my higher level i'd be fine now.

and yeah, you'll be fine going through the story if you level up, it'll still be fun/tough, but not too much. I played for hours last night and got through it and was a blast. Rarely do i get a game that makes me want to keep playing like that, normally stopping for the night's really easy

So you ended up beating the game, sweet.

Like you said blue, even though this game is hard it keeps you on your toes and is fun.

Last night I fell asleep with my son at about 9:30 and woke up at midnight. I was playing till about 3:00 am. I am so tired this morning, but well worth it. I can't wait to play some more tonight, and even my wife wants to play. Hopefully in DR2 they have co-op, that would be fun.
