I just picked it up for Xbox and I'm a little disappointed in the control scheme.

I liked the fact that in the 2 previous Xbox GTAs that the firing while in a vehicle was mapped to directing the right stick and clicking it in.

In SA, they changed it back to a face button to shoot, and the black and white buttons to look to the sides. There is no way that I can simultaneously press the white button and the B button, plus drive without crashing into anything. It' s just not possible. I can press the black button and the B button simultaneously though - it just needs getting used to.

Maybe the for the PC version it can be customized for the best.

for real. THe car driveby controls are horrendous. Two buttons are required of your thumb to press at the same time. I wasnt born near a freaking powerplant rockstar, last time i checked i only have 5 fingers on each hand!

yeah the control scheme is far from intuitive.

The previous/next feature seems a bit butchered as well, every time I go to next it skips to another song on the next playlist. It won't stay in my playlist that I want.

And no, I am not hitting the wrong D-Pad button

Anyway, I have a quick question. After the mission "Home Invasion," you're briefed about doing robberies at night, where is the van that lets you do those missions or w/e?

watch out guys. this game consumed my life for 3 weeks on ps2. I got to about 80%... i just needed to take some photos of certain places/buildings and finish off with the graffitti and oysters. the game is so damn fun. Watch out for Big FOOT!, mysterious plane crashes, lol... and the mysterious ghost cars.

Ah man... i gotta get this game again

Not sure if there is one parked anywhere or not, but I've seen them driven by pedestrians throughout the city.

I'm borrowing the game from a friend (PS2) and have really been enjoying it. It's a very fun game, but I haven't played it as much lately.. Like anything, too much too soon gets old, so I am taking a break and reading books instead.

what kind of CJ are you guys playing with? I made him super muscular going around shirtless with tatoos and an early 90s black square hair cut with high tops.

Maxed out muscles. High fade. LS chain. Watch. LS tat on his right chest. Cross on his right forearm. Grove Street tat on his back. Green pants and green high tops.

Yeah the grove street back tatoo was the first thing i got for him. Have to represent the street. I cant wait to get all the way to las vegas and see what kinda of tatoos the shops offer their as well as clothes. Have you tried the pool mini game yet? Its pretty fun, and if u lose the money u gamebled, you can just kill the guy to get it back.

Its pretty fun, and if u lose the money u gamebled, you can just kill the guy to get it back.

Yeah, I've tried that minigame, as well as the dancing. I was losing in pool; my opponent hit the 8ball in, but the cue ball went into a pocket so I got the money. Also played some bball; the minigames are a nice touch IMO.

just a warning. for ps2, i think there was a glitch where if you killed that guy ONCE, you cant play pool again, because it is always scared... or something...

Just dont kill him... or look around on GTA forums for the bug.

The same thing happened to me when I played the pool minigame, he hit the 8Ball but the white ball went in as well so I won the game.

I've got CJ with a white tee, green jeans, high top fade i think, and some high tops. no accesories.

Im horrible at directions but I know where the van is stashed, let me fire the game back up and see if I can come up with some good directions to get it.

It'd be really cool if all the streets were named.

My CJ has a fro and a beard- straight up NY style. White tee and black kicks. No tats yet as I'm dead broke.

8Bit- I haven't tried the pool mini game yet but I did run into an Inside Track Betting (ie., OTB) spot and bet on a horse race. My horse placed last. I should've shot those fools up.
