i know its expensive but i understand the price. Come on the 360 is going to be the only system with a triple core processor!!.you can't even put that in computers yet! the xbox is coming out with new technology, not like the xbox now..it had older technology at the time it came out. SO i don't understand the gripe if people wanted to the best system...Xbox is actually goin to lose money making the system

Developers are still writing games to cache to a HDD just like they always have on the Xbox. Those Xbox360's that do not have a HDD will experience 2x-3x more loading time. Also the absence of the ability to save music and save game data will be the only con of not having a HDD.Comment

Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

They said the HDD would ship with the Xbox 360, which it is, just with the premium version. I did however hear them say the wireless controller would come standard, but I guess things change. If you bought the base model, and wanted those accessories that the premium version comes with, you'll be looking at $559.93. It's a good deal, but at the sametime, I think some of the accessories prices are downright criminal.
If people send enough negative feedback Microsoft's way, they might change their minds on some of this, because they did it before.Comment

Re: Xbox 360 Pricing Announced
Have you guys ever stopped to think that maybe the reason XBOX 360 will be (basically) more expensive than the XBOX, is because the goal now is to partially make some money? When the first XBOX came out they knew they were going to lose money and it was more or less to test the waters to see if they could get into the gaming market. Now that they have (eerily easy) they want to make some money and having a second package with addons is going to definately help.
Of course the only package that makes sense (for most here) to buy is $400 but I think most of us can wait a little bit to buy a gaming console, it's not the end of the world.
The funny thing about this thread is people are getting mad at MS when Sony is the one that is going to have the most expensive console. (not for certain, but very likely)Comment
