Everything I've read says Stacked's AI is amazing. But who knows, these things are flushing the market right now.

Stacked's AI is based on the University of Alberta's pokibot engine. This is the same engine in the Poker Academy software. I've played around with the demo of Poker Academy Pro, and it's by far the best poker AI I've ever seen (which includes a bunch of the dime-a-dozen poker PC titles that have come out). You can set each individual opponent to exactly how tight/loose and passive/agressive as you want, and they'll play accordingly and even adapt to the opponents as they play. Integrating it into a game and having pros with their actual tendencies sounds like this could be far and away the best poker game yet. I guess we'll see how it worked out in the fall.

You can get the demo for the $130 software from www.poki-poker.com

            Preview from TeamXbox

9 players at a table rocks, especially when WCP only allows six.

I guess this can go in here since these games have Omaha. What's the best starting hand in Omaha? 2 suited AK's,Suited AK with suited 56 of a differnt suit? 4 aces wouldn't be much good since you only get to pick 2 cards from your hand so you only have a very small chance of improving.

I need to play these games more, I had a bad weekend on full tilt. I lost hands with pocket Aces and trips twice. Ouch!

did you slow play the hands?

i suppose it depends what you were playing, limit at a casino or something, or no limit? It's pretty easy to get aces cracked at a limit table, because you can't put enough money in to make it tough to call. Too many people hang around. In no limit you can really make people think before the flop by making a decent sized bet.

I was playing limit holdem and I rarely slow play anything at limit. When I had Aces, the guy had Kings and flopped a third K so I was screwed from the get go. Ouch! I had trips lose to a higher set of trips. It was just the kind of weekend where all my premium hands somehow got outdrawn. As they say, thats poker.

gotcha...that's what really sucks about limit hold'em...i much prefer to play in a NL buy in tourney, i feel i have much more control and ability to protect my hand. In limit, so many people stay in till the river cause it's cheap to call, and that leads to a lot of bad beats. Don't hate yourself as long as you played the hand well, though I understand being on tilt a bit, just annoys the hell out of you

Staying in till the river when you don't have odds is one of the great things about limit, especially when you're playing at some ultra soft place like Party where the mistakes are common. Sure, sometimes somebody will cold call your preflop raise with K6o, and pickup trip 6s on the river to beat your Aces, but making those kinds of moves will lose that person a lot of money in the long run.

I used to get really mad about the bad beats, but I've really been able to focus on the long run this last month. If it's an online game, add 'em to your buddy list and make sure to sit with them in the future, as they obviously can't play.

These games should have an online rep system.

I filed a complaint at pokerchamps after the last free roll where some ******* went all in every hand with any hand and won 9/10 times only really being favored 2 times and 1/2 was with pocket 4's wich isn't that great. They said they don't like it either but can't do anything about it since it doesn't violate rules. If these have some sort of rep systems all those people can play at certian tables and wipe each other out with their stupid hands then get their ***es handed to them later.(Well I'd hope so anyway)
