      hey there!
Yeah when the host leaves a game the session ends. That kind of sucks but what can you do...

Just a couple of questions for you guys before I go pick this up. How is the AI offline? How many players can you have in a room online at one time? Thanks.

They are pretty good Ive only played 1 offline tourney so far and some times they will go all in with you with nothing and some times they will catch you bluffing and have the nuts I finished 90th in my first tourney in a field of 645.

Just an FYI, Party Poker has decided to cancel their NL Freerolls as of Sep01. Now you need party points to play in all the freeroll tourneys.

                2 more WSOP questions:

Picking up on the tells yet?

                Many bad beats?

                [edit]

IGN has posted a glowing review: http://xbox.ign.com/articles/648/648099p1.html

                A 3.5.

"You call a five thousand dollar bet when you had 20k left with a King-Four and hit Four, Four, King and suddenly you're the business, eh? So you tell me your wife plays better than me."

                That doesn't sound good.

They've also posted a new preview of WCP 2: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/647/647940p1.html

The 3.5 review scared me off officially. I'll wait for Stacked and the other poker games to hit.

After playing this game a little more I would say avoid the game. It is just lacking in about every area. Its nice at first but the game begins to wear thin on you after awhile. The characters say the same few phrases over and over which can be really annoying. The presentation is very lackluster and is just lacking overall. I liked the game at first but after playing it a bit more it just seems like there is nothing there to keep me going back to play. Poker is poker but this game just doesn't cut it. I would say wait for WPT or stacked for sure.

Stacked looks the flashiest of all of them, but WPT is from 2k and I love 2K games.

I don't know if you guys have heard about this one but they are making a sequel to WCP. Its called WCP 2 featuring Howard Lederer. There is a small video at IGN featuring Greg Raymer. Its a good video, the animations and gestures of the players look 10 times better than the WSOP game. Raymer did voice work for the game too it sounds like. The career mode sounds very interesting as well.

i moved recently so i haven't been able to take this online yet. the cable guy came over earlier, so i'll be able to have better impressions tomorrow. so far the offline is decent enough i suppose, but who buys a poker game to play the computer?

I would, especially if Stacked really did go with the programming they are said they did.

I don't see the point of buying a poker game to play people on-line. You can do that for free on many sites, why waste the money on the game.

voice interaction is what Live is all about, and you don't get that in online poker rooms. plus beating a human opponent is more rewarding than the cpu.
