I liked Batman Begins, it was a bit on the simple side, but it was fun while it lasted. I'm waiting for EG now to come along give me grief about movie licensed games. LOL!

I thought it had a lot of potential. It was fun, I agree, but I think it would have been better and even more fun if you had absolute control rather than being told where to throw things, where to grapple, etc.

They usually sucked, but Batman Begins was a decent enough rental. I'm actually looking forward to Superman. The Spiderman games were good too.

So what if it's late? I don't see how that's predictive of quality.

I think that's a sign that the game isn't going to be rushed out just to capitalize on the hype. That quality actually matters to some extent.

I see it as EA releases a lot of bad titles, and this one so far hasn't even been good enough by their standards to hit retail. And the above mentioned licensing issue. If we're talking a proven development team like the men and women at Blizzard or Nintendo who are known for hanging onto titles a while to tweak them, then it's not a bad sign. In this case though, the game is probably terrible and they're just trying to make it less terrible at this point and get it out in time for the DVD release.

So..........who's planning on getting this title? Just saw that it went gold on IGN and it made me wonder if anyone was interested still. I haven't seen the new Superman movie and probably won't for a while. Not really a Superman fan too much. Anyone still have this game on there radar??

Unless it comes out for the Gamecube, I won't be able to play it. Sad too because I was looking forward to flying around.

The demo got released this morning. I'm stuck at work but if anyone has the time to play it today I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

The flying mechanics are pretty cool. They use a FPS control for flying and it feels natural. I am not crazy about the combat yet. At times it was a little bit awkward. Let's see.....the graphics are nice although some of the animations and models seem like a hybrid between current and next-gen..the city itself (the section I got to play) looked really good..also when you fly at super speed for a while there is a sonic boom which is a nice touch...the game seemed like a fun rental, but I don't think it would be a purchase for me.

Yikes. I'm still going to wait for other reviews. That Superman nut that has his own site dedicated to everything Superman said the game was fantastic.

That paragraph is spot on.

I just downloaded the demo and I'll be deleting it as soon as I finish posting. The controls feel sluggish, the graphics are far from impressive, and the game is overall far from NextGen.

It reminds me of Ultimate Spiderman for the original XBox. It'll be fun to play as one of your favorite superheros for a while, but not $60 worth of fun. It'll get boring really, really quick.

I'll check it out later tonight, but not sounding good at all. You have to figure, it was delayed 5 months for a reason...seeing the demo's impressions, makes you wonder what that reason was..LOL

K, I played it real quick before jumping to a little GOW. The flying is incredible. I could literally spend 30 minutes just flying around Metropolis.

Are there normal citizens walking around on the street? Do they react to you when you go near them?
Can you punch them or send them flying?
