A little bit of news on my end...

Talked to the Gamestop where I have my 360 reserved (a different guy from yesterday which is ALWAYS more helpful, and been there much longer) and asked what their release numbers for launch looked like. He said that they would be getting enough units to cover the first shipment pre-orders, plus 2 or 3 additional. I told him I was on the second shipment, and he said that I could call on the 21st to find out if it would be a possibility to get one at launch (which I'm sure it won't) I didn't go into the whole "what number am I" thing.

ONe thing he DID mention which doesn't effect me a whole lot is that they were only guaranteeing systems for people who were on the first or second shipment. Anyone after that is going to be S.O.L. That being said, he didn't say WHEN they were guaranteed, but maintained the entire "second shipment should be anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks later" answer I have been getting up to this point.

The drama continues...

my gamestop said today since they are only getting 16 systems... they may not be doing a midnight launch

I just got a call from EB letting me know that my plug and charge kit (or whatever its called) is in and that I needed to come get it by 6pm tmrw. I know its pointless, but I'm still pumped

I have my bundle pre-order at TRU, but I a bestbuy reward zone member, SO I waited for the start time to try and pre-order the 360 for a freind on OS, and I got jerked bigtime. I think the bestbuy pre-order was some type of crock. I was trying from start time wich was 10am CT wich is 11am for me, and I had the budle in my cart for checkout and it would not let me check out, it kept giving me this message "WE CAN NOT CAULATE YOUR ZIP FOR SHIPPING AT THIS TIME KEEP TRYING" so thats what I did for freaking 40 minuets and I kept getting the same stupid message, until I get the message" SORRY REWARD ZONE MEMBERS BUT YOUR CHANCE TO PRE-ORDER THE XBOX 360 HAS ENDED". I'm really pissed off right now, I guess there may have been a lot of guy's on there pre-ordering too, but come on I was doing it from the start time and I could not get my item to checkout, I think this was some type of haux...

After 20 minutes of the shipping/zip code error at checkout, I was finally able to submit my order. But an hour later after I received my order confirmation, my bundle was put on backorder. So, who knows if it will be shipped at launch or not.

After 20 minutes of the shipping/zip code error at checkout, I was finally able to submit my order. But an hour later after I received my order confirmation, my bundle was put on backorder. So, who knows if it will be shipped at launch or not.

I got the same backorder email. Maybe everyone gets it because it isnt ready yet. Anyone ever preorder games from Bestbuy?

I would totally agree with that. I thought the zip code error was something I did because I changed my shipping address and not everyone accepts my zip code as being valid. I changed browsers, cleared cookies, and emptied my cache thinking it was something I entered. Finally, I just started clicking checkout over and over until it finally went through. What a pain!

I know they did this with the PSP as well, but I thankfully didn't participate in that one.

Hey I called Eb and they said I'm guarenteed to get 1 on second shipment. 2 questions:

1. If I go in and pay tghe whole thing off what are my odds of getting bumped to 1st order??

2. If that fails when should the 2nd shipment come in??

ZERO, I had my system paid off in full for 2 months and still was number 80th, Then I cancelled my pre-order and then I was lucky to get one pre-order from Good old TRU

yah I triedgood ol TRU and some ******on the phone tells me they have both bundles available I get there 2 min. later and they've been sold out for 2 days

Anyone know of any other places not many peole would know about to get 1?

Guys this play and chagre kit comes with a battaery pack right. Meaning I won't have to buy the battery seperate right.
