no walking...

standing in the electronics section for 7 hours

for the ps2 launch at my walmart, they had everybody show up at 11pm i believe it was, and they were going to hand out tickets, then if you got a ticket, you got a system...

so it was like 11:02 and everybody was getting very nervous and then they came over the loud speakers and said everybody form a line against the tv wall. It was a mad rush, I took what i thought to be a short cut to the front of the line, but the guy said no sir, so i had to go to the end. No ps2 for me, but i got one the next day.

As far as walmarts, I'd say some would do the lines and some would do the tickets, I would just call and see whats up

Alright I am thinking that Walmart will be the best option and I guess I will just have to do my homework. In this area there is a Best Buy, Circuit City, Shopko, Target, Walmart, TRU and K-Mart so I am hoping I will be able to get my hands on one. Anyone know if K-Mart or Shopko are getting these?

Here is some advice for some people. Sam's Club opens for business members at 7:00. You can get in 3 hours before regular members. Just a thought if you own a business, and have a membership there, or know someone who has one. This was my backup plan for the midnight Wal-Mart launch. But since my TRU pre-order, I won't be doing this.

Damn thank God for my mom buying a membership for me. Do you know if they are selling them at launch?

Sams Club has them. There are pics on the IGN Boards of a guy w/ a bundle.

Second, I have a business membership so I will be going there around 6:30am, yay!

ya sams club only does bundles for all thier consoles....

they had a psp bundle on launch day... im sure they will have a 360 bundle as well

I think I'm going to go nuts. At this point, I don't know what to do. I'd love to have one on launch, albeit it's not life or death. I was thinking of getting a Sams Club Membership just to get one. What do you all think? I'm going to call Sam's Club and see what they are planning on doing for launch.

Oh, and can someone send me a link of the bundle that the guy on IGN has? Thanks guys

I have a dilemna. I can either get one at Walmart night of. Or I can wait and hope that Sam's has the bundles the next day. It would be worth it to buy the Sam's bundle to get the extra controller and everything, but is there any guarantee they will have the bundles?

jt, I have a preorder through RitzCamera, and am now pondering the same thing as you. Should I camp out at WalMart, or try my luck w/ Sams Club. I'm going to call tomorrow to see what the manager says regarding the 360 at Sams. If anyone else has any input on Sams or the Sams bundles, let me know please!
