I did one of the late EB 360 preorders about a month ago. Today the owner told me there was to be a conference type call or notification before the end of the business day tomorrow on how many preorder units will be available at launch, including the late preorders. She said it's possible that there won't be enough or that there will be more than enough to satisfy even the late preorders. In other words, she's totally in the dark.

Is the conference call for all EB stores.

Well, I'm in a dilemma... I can get a 360 this Saturday, it'll cost me $700 though. A guy I know won the every10minutes.com promotion, and he'll sell me the system, extra wireless controller, Madden, and a faceplate for $700 w/ local pickup. That's awefully steep for just 3 days, don't you all think?

You are looking at about $560 total for that bundle with tax.....so you do the math.

Is $140 worth it to you to have a 360 (without all the waiting in line you've been planning) three days prior to release?

Yeah, I know... that's about what I've been thinking on... That's two games though, right there that I could buy. I'm not sure.. I could go up there and pick it up on Saturday, and not have to even camp out (which I'm thinking could actually be fun. I'm actually thinking about getting this one, and giong and camping anyway, to pick up a couple more to sell, to make up for my lost profit...

I'm so mixed up right now. Especially if Live and 2k6 are out already... that makes the decision so much more tough.

i'm officially going to get mine at launch. Got a voicemail from gamestop today. I just knew that when I called back they would be saying I would be on the 2nd shipment. Luckily, I'll get mine on the 22nd. They're opening at 10:00 for their lil pizza party. During that time you can finish paying off your preorders. They'll give out the systems after midnight. I won't be any good the Tuesday at work. Then again, knowing me, I'll connect the thing, play around in the dashboard, and then go to bed.

My gamestop here is having a bbq and bringing in the crunk girls (lil johns crunk juice girls i guess)

I just bought the 360 and will be going to Lexington on Saturday to pick it up

I ended up getting a pretty good deal, as I only spent $650, but I'm still going to camp out and try and help out a few people who aren't as fortunate. I can't wait now. Saturday just can't come soon enough. I just hope the other games will be out by then.

No worries Squint. I'll do my best. Also, for a couple guys on here, I'll still be camping out to try to snag a couple of the units for the OS crew. There will be a small markup for my "Camping fees" :y4:, but they'll still be affordable and probably a $50-75 markup.

Hopefully I can help out some of the OS'ers this way so guys won't have to pay $700-1000 for a console, which is what I expect from this launch.

Will Now guaranteed a 360 before launch. WOOOHOOO!

The exchange at the base near my house will be getting 360s at launch as well. I was thinking about going there and picking one up (tax-free) to add one more to my inventory.

Yeah, Duece, I was really getting worried. All of the preorders that I had been through, that had been mysteriously cancelled, and now all of the sudden this comes up. I was overwhelmed. I think for $700, it's a pretty good deal, considering there was no guarantee of getting one. And getting my hands on one 3 days early... wow. Maybe we can now hoop it up on Live.

Maybe a miracle will happen, and it will come in on Friday, lol.

Now, I just hope I can get my hands on a copy of 2k6 and Live... I'll probably hold off on COD until I get a little extra cash. This took a considerable chunk :y4:

Now, the best part is... I get the Party in a box too :y4: I'll be stylin and profilin'.
