When the spring update was released it created a rather large glitch in the content distribution system. If you attempted to download the GRAW pack you know what I am talking about. Microsoft have made the decision not to release any more "large" downloads until the issue can be resolved (This mornings "maintenance" release). If all goes as planned the Prey demo will be up tonight. Microsoft are keeping quite about this for obvious reasons. They don't choose to admit that their world class platform has been compromised by a laps in their qa especially since they constantly tout their certification process. Nobody wants to admit that a 10 year old girl gave them a black eye. This is an unfortunate situation for Microsoft's customers and software partners that are kept in the dark. Lets just hope that doing so is the right decision and they don't end up alienating too many.Comment

It just means that it was slow as hell, but there were some glitches..Longhorn cant play Warf and Sully always freezes now./Comment

For some, it seems. Longhorn can't load the Wharf maps (the original night or the newly lit day) and Sully started freezing the last few nights constantly.
Others, myself included, have had no problems. I left my system on for five or so hours getting the update the afternoon it was released and have had no problems at all.

Details on the 5 new COD2 maps....
June 27, 2006 - While Call of Duty 2 fans may still be busy playing the recent map pack release, Infinity Ward isn't sitting still. The second group of expansion multiplayer maps of the upcoming Invasion Map Pack will be making its way to Xbox Live this Thursday, according to a post by Robert Bowling, Infinity Ward's Community Manager.
The pack will sell for 800 Microsoft Points, which translates to $10. For such a hefty chunk of change, gamers will pick up five maps, including Rostov, Russia (Harbor), Antoville, France (Crossroads), St. Louet, France (Newvillers), Amaye sur Seulles, France (Normandy), Alam Halfa, Egypt (Decoytown). We'll have to wait and see whether this actually occurs on time, as Microsoft has delayed the appearance of products on the Marketplace before.Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.
