I haven't seen any deals on the points lately...but I know you can get a 1600 point card for $19.99, which is supposed to be the standard price, at Circuit City.

It is. Online it's $25 for 2000 points but no tax. Or it's 12.50 for 1000 points online too I believe.

The answer, from the 3D Realms site:

        Re: DEMO UPDATE: 360 Demo
When the spring update was released it created a rather large glitch in the content distribution system. If you attempted to download the GRAW pack you know what I am talking about. Microsoft have made the decision not to release any more "large" downloads until the issue can be resolved (This mornings "maintenance" release). If all goes as planned the Prey demo will be up tonight. Microsoft are keeping quite about this for obvious reasons. They don't choose to admit that their world class platform has been compromised by a laps in their qa especially since they constantly tout their certification process. Nobody wants to admit that a 10 year old girl gave them a black eye. This is an unfortunate situation for Microsoft's customers and software partners that are kept in the dark. Lets just hope that doing so is the right decision and they don't end up alienating too many.

For some, it seems. Longhorn can't load the Wharf maps (the original night or the newly lit day) and Sully started freezing the last few nights constantly.

Others, myself included, have had no problems. I left my system on for five or so hours getting the update the afternoon it was released and have had no problems at all.

Who knows...buy it though when you get your system back. It's well worth it!

Details on the 5 new COD2 maps....

June 27, 2006 - While Call of Duty 2 fans may still be busy playing the recent map pack release, Infinity Ward isn't sitting still. The second group of expansion multiplayer maps of the upcoming Invasion Map Pack will be making its way to Xbox Live this Thursday, according to a post by Robert Bowling, Infinity Ward's Community Manager.

The pack will sell for 800 Microsoft Points, which translates to $10. For such a hefty chunk of change, gamers will pick up five maps, including Rostov, Russia (Harbor), Antoville, France (Crossroads), St. Louet, France (Newvillers), Amaye sur Seulles, France (Normandy), Alam Halfa, Egypt (Decoytown). We'll have to wait and see whether this actually occurs on time, as Microsoft has delayed the appearance of products on the Marketplace before.

The pack is due for release this October and will cost £20, which in our opinion is a smashing deal, especially considering you get a free one-month Xbox Live Gold membership bundled in as well.

Is that coming out in America or only in Europe?
