Well after a weather delay which prevented me from getting my 360 Friday, Fedx finally delivered it just minutes ago. Once again I preordered it from Ebgames online. Well, I'm off to enjoy everything that I've been hearing and reading about. Later!

Because, although I'd almost love nothing more than to take back any support I've provided to Gamestop in this mess, that concern of mine take's a back-seat to getting a 360 as quickly as possible. Sure, the way it looks now, the likelihood is that I'll find a 360 elsewhere before Gamestop comes through for me. But, I don't want to take the chance that, after taking my money back and cancelling my pre-order, I can't find a 360 anywhere else and Gamestop suddenly gets a big shipment.

I'm not losing much by leaving my money with them - what's the interest on $100 (the amount I have with them) for a month or two? Basically nothing. It pisses me off that they're making money off of interest, but taking my $100 back would mean nothing, really. Now, if everyone who had a pre-order with them took their money back, that might send a message.

I don't care about all that, though - I just want to get a 360 as soon as possible. I'm not going to close one window to getting a 360 if it's not causing me any harm to keep it open, even if it's with a company that apparently was the wrong one to do business with.

why not just get all your money back less the $50 downpayment to keep the reservation.

I don't know what Gamestops policy on that is. Given the rest of their handling of the situation, I imagine they have some policy that they're willing to give you your money back, but only if you cancel entirely. Even so, what do I care. I get $50 of my $100 back, makes no real difference to me. I just want a 360, however I can get it (without sitting out in the freezing cold for 12 hours - yes, I know the people who've already done it and are planning on doing it will say it's worth it, etc., etc. - but I pre-ordered back in June, and I'll go out of my way to get ahold of one, but not that far).

EB and Gamestop are the worst in this whole process. There was basically no point in them taking pre-orders after the first 10 to 12. But...they did. And how.
