Ahhhh, it was so nice to casually walk into my TRU at 9:03 and not fight any crowds to get my bundle. It took all of 10 minutes to check out and everything. It was an extremely uneventful launch for me, and I couldn't be happier.

I also have another one coming from an online order that I will be putting on ebay. I hope to make enough to pay for the one I got at TRU and then some, hopefully.

A buddy of mine went and camped out at Costco here, where they had, get this, 128 systems. He was #16 in line, and he told me that it got so crazy towards opening that a few people sold the tickets that were passed out for 200-300 bucks. Just for the right to purchase a 360. Damn, had I known that was gonna happen, I would have sat in line with him last night, picked up 300 bones from someone, then cruised over to TRU to pick up my bundle.

I got my bundle from Gamespot! UPS dropped it off this afternoon! Gonna exchange some games or get in store credit.
How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl year after year. Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.

Nice to see that capitalism isn't dead. LOL

Perfect example..My brother-in-law was in line at Best Buy last night and said that there were grandparents and parents in the line toward the end just wanting to get a Christmas present, and there were kids up at the front of the line bragging that they already had five of these that they were going to sell on Ebay. Sorry, but I don't know how people can sleep at night doing stuff like that.

I work at costco in avon, mass. we got 48 bundles in were gone in less than a half hour. also, corporate sent out a memo that each card member can only buy 1 system till futher notice. basically it means you can buy another one till the company says so. perhaps a idea for future launches?

In my opinion, they ought to do away with preorders and lining up. Just do lottery like walmarts do. That way, you get one system. If you want to sell it go ahead. If not, that's all you're going to get unless you have a friend who wins the lottery at another place and doesn't want his/hers.

This is coming from someone who didn't want a 360 right now, so Im not just bitter because I couldn't get one.

What about the people that can't stay up late due to school, tests, work, other things?

                        That's basically screwing those people.

You can come in anytime beforehand, fill out your lottery ticket and leave. Impartial parties pull names (with witnesses). Winners get called to pick up their systems. If the Premiums are all gone and the person doesn't want core, pick until someone does. Although, if someone could leave, they might be able to go in a lottery somewhere else. Have to think about how to combat that.

This way, you don't have wackos camping out at the store for two days, no fights, way less of people buying able to buy multiple systems just so they can sell them for twice as much on ebay (meaning maybe little Timmy has a better chance of getting one for Christmas).

I think it should always be 1st come 1st serve. The people who really want one, nearly always end up with one. If you just do a lottery then anybody could sign up. How fair would it be for someone to sign up in January for PS3 and then someone sign up in August and the August person get it? Doesn't seem right to me.

Personally I don't think this system is for "little Timmy". This system is for the 18-34 year olds. They are the ones that drive the market. "Momma" isn't spending $800 on a bundle. At least not many of them. I expect the XBOX to continue to do very well because of this. My nephew is 7, my sister is 10. They are getting XBOXs and PS2s, not 360s.
