I'll keep my 360, and get a Revolution as a second console, provided it has Widescreen support.
As far as comparing 360 to PC. First generation of 360 games so not really a fair comparison, but for me, being able to bring a game home and just plug it in to a console and play, instead of having to make sure my OS is up to date, make sure my drivers are up to date, make sure th game is compatible with my peripherals, and not having to worry about tweaking my system and hardware settings to get the game to play right, is what makes console gaming so much more appealing for me now.Comment

Re: Interest in Revolution as a 2nd console
I brought up PC because look how far PC has moved ahead of xbox...considering the cost(especially factoring HDTV) this becomes an issue because this process may be accelerated. People who have bought the system ASSUME the graphics will be improved. It shouldn't take more than a year for graphics to peak. Even the unfriendly PS2 had stuff like DMC and GTA 3 within a year, plus GT3.
I say if the DS and GBA can thrive, so can the Revolution. Even EA is getting interested in the controller, and that's saying something. Plus a $150 price? Sign me the hell up. A launch mario is pretty much confirmed.Comment

Re: Interest in Revolution as a 2nd console
What are you talking about? First of all, the games that have been shown for later like gears of war and oblivion look better than anything that's on the pc right now. Second of all, how are you going to criticize the graphics on the 360 and then claim that the revolution is better when it's not even close?Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Re: Interest in Revolution as a 2nd console
i don't see the rev taking the gaming world by storm right away but there are certain games you can't compete in without it. Especially for FPS you can't use a Gamepad against this contoller, you'll get smoked everytime since all you have to do is aim with numchucks.
On another note I can't imagine someone who's laying out in their big bean bag or loungin in a recliner or slouchin on their bed using that controller. Maybe if i was sitting in a office chair with arm rest for support, but who's really gonna do that in front of their HD tv especially for sports games. 360 and ps3 should make their own version of it.Comment

If developers nail some A quality games using the new Revolution controller than that is what will take the gaming world be storm. Not hi-res, shiny new graphics.
Thats the thing with Nintendo in general, they make some pretty quality games but there is never enough of them. I'm sure they will have a few games that will wow the gaming world but if the GC is any indication, the release of these quality titles will be few and far between.
As for the high-res, shiney graphics quote, I believe that is the #1 priority to most casual fans looking for next-gen consoles. Why do you think some devs spend to much time getting the graphics great while spending less time with the gameplay. When ppl think next-gen, they are thinking graphics. The Revolution better have some type of wow factor when it comes to graphics or I highly doubt most ppl will even pay attention. You cant simply market a controller. Remember the Power Pad, the NES Glove, the Gun? Were any of those products worth buying a console over?http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

One thing people don`t understand about the controller is the fact that its not going to be something that you swing your arm around in EVERY game.... allthough some games will be like this, most games will only require a simple flick of the wrist to play.
Nintendo believes that the controller is so "EASY" to use that it will attract non-gamers.Comment
