Re: Official 360 Problems
Wierd problem with my 360, any insight would be appreciated - I just got my 360 back from the repair center, looks like a refurb born 3-21-2006. While everything else seems to be working correctly for some reason my disc tray will not open or close. What's wierd is that it works just fine if there is a disc in the tray, but when it is empty it won't open or close.
Any ideas?Comment

Re: Official 360 Problems
Well I just got my 360. I popped in Saint's Row. When I tried to start the first mission, it FROZE. I was like WTF??? It's the first day!
So I take it out, and find out that a ring has been created on my disc... Blah... How??? I bought this game rack thing or whatever that was designed for all the consoles. And the 360 slot has it to stand vertical. I guess vertical is NOT the way to go (not sure if that's the prob). But that doesn't make any sense. Any picture I see, it has the 360 up vertical. I think it is the disc tray because it doesn't seem like the game is totally secure in the disc tray when I put it in vertical.
Now every time I try the first mission (sometimes when I just try to get in the game) it'll freeze. Really pisses me off that I already ran into a problem.
I can hear the system's noise also. It's not that bad though. But I do notice the noise stop when at the load screen (where it freezes).
I'm just gonna take Saint's Row back and exchange it for another. Hopefully, having the console horizontal won't cause it to destroy the disc.Xbox 360 GamertagRAW 910

Re: Official 360 Problems
UPDATE: So I beat the crap out of the 360, slapped it around a few times and then turned it over so that it was no longer vertical. Pop in a new game and it magically works again. When in doubt, beat your electronics up, it seems to work for me.
Granted, it will probably go dead on me here in an hour, but at least it works for now.Comment

Re: Official 360 Problems
Dude at Gamecrazy told me it was because I may have moved my console while the game is playing and you can't do that on any 360s. So he cleaned the disc. He said it wouldn't happen again if I don't move it.
All goody now

Re: Official 360 Problems
Well I see that MS has my console. How long will it take before they ship out one? The customer service guy acts like they're going to fix mines and send it back. I wish that was true.Boy this habit is as bad as dope!!!
