I already have too many games I don't play and to get a game with clunky controls and a storyline that I didn't understand from the beginning was a no no. Getting rid over it while I can still get about $45 for it.

The game has turned out to be better than I expected, a lot better. Would like to have gotten the Collector's Edition now. I'm only on Level 5, but I'm amazed at the graphics. And the boss battles have been almost indescribable. Imo it's almost like a 3-D throwback to old school shooters like Contra or Bionic Commando. I love the animations for getting in/out of/transforming various mechs. Also like the destructible stuff in the environments. Granted the story is a bit vague to this point, but don't know why that should be held against the game - it's a run n' gun shooter, pure and simple.

MP is nothing but a diversion because of the glitches and imbalanced weapons. If they iron those issues out it could be something special because it runs super-smooth and looks good. But as it is it's fun imo - just can't take it seriously because of the issues
HBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

                Spoiler...

You don't have to, just keep running. The worm is actually pretty easy to beat, you don't have to shoot the energy spots, just keep blasting it, it'll scream and fall to the ground. It will respawn though.

LOL!!! Maybe the random flashbacks are the "LOST" part of the game?

I changed the speed setting under optins and have found the game more enjoyable now. I also think that once I got past the hype factor I was able to enjoy it on its own merits. Whoever said the game is like an old school shooter nailed it.

I was a bit lukewarm on the demo, but I've really been enjoying LP so far, ridiculous story and all. Somehow it feels very complementary to GoW- the premises are not dissimilar, the graphics are spectacular in a completely different sort of way, and the gameplay is about as different as you can get within the shooter genre. There are a lot of fantastically impressive moments in LP right from the get-go; the Akrids are really, really big, and when they all start popping out of the snow, it's really a sight. I don't generally care for boss battles- one of the highlights of GoW is that there were only a few of those-but the LP encounters have been surprisingly fun.

Besides, I'm perpetually amused that this is a Japanese interpretation of Halo (or so the designer said). If there are ever two things that would never, EVER show up in Halo, it's mechs and snow pirates.

Mission 10 is the hardest Mission I've ever experience in a video game... This mission is worst than the Embassy Mission in GRAW.... I have tried everything & continue to die...... If anyone has some tips for this Mission, please send me a Private Message...

                            Thanks...
