I'm still trying to figure it out as well, maybe I could trade it in for a PSP, then trade the PSP in for a dog**** on a stick again, or then I could take the dog**** on a stick and trade it for another PSP.

Wow. We've just played through the final Japanese version of MotorStorm and we're still shaking from the experience. It's not hangover jitters either, rather the effect of adrenaline coursing through our veins after playing PS3's off-road epic on an eight-foot screen via a high-def projector. To say it looks awesome is an understatement: the earlier builds we've played looked impressive but now it's faster, more detailed and closer to the original E3 tech demo than we ever expected. In short it's the most impressive racing game we've seen in a long time and is a definite must-have come the launch of PlayStation 3.

One question...Is this a launch game or "launch window"?

Also, a general question about the PS3: Will the bigger hard drive make a difference when it comes to gaming at all? Or, will you really only need it for massive amounts of video, music and other forms of storage.

The part set aside for streaming game data probably won't fluctuate, so as far as better load times for 60GB+ gamers, I doubt it.

I read an article on digg that you will be able to 'install' games on the hard drive in order to reduce load times:

"Famitsu PS2 quizzed Teramoto on one area that's on everyone's mind right now: hard disk support. Ridge Racer 7 makes extensive use of the PS3's hard disk. In addition to saving your game and saving future download contents, the hard disk is used for speeding up gameplay. The game does a hard disk install to the tune of five gigabytes.

MotorStorm is launch window for the US. It will be a launch game for Europe in March. It's coming out in Japan earlier (December), but it won't have online.

Yeah they're several games that make use of the HD, they leave a cache footprint in the "game utility data"(GUD) setting. RR7 you can install the 5gb's at a one time install, reported to take at least 3 to 5 mins to reduce your loadtimes from 15 secs to 4 secs. I think I'm fine with the 15 secs unless I dedicate a lot of time to RR7 early on.

Games like genji, motorstorm, resistance, cod3 and several others the GUD for loading as well.
