Yes it did. (XP)
I installed the software 1st. Then I inserted MC into adaptor and plugged it in USB port. PC did a "New Hardware found" thing and all works fine.

thanks, i think i have either a faulty xchange, faulty memory unit, or both

jesus, well, if anyone is having the same problem i was, here is the deal, basically the thing is a cheap p.o.s. i got it to work. i have to press down on the memory unit while it is in the adapter so the contacts meet between the memory unit and the adapter. not sure if the problem is the card or the datel device but either way it is working now with some rigging so i guess that is ok. thanks to tj, skyboxer and anyone else who tried to get me straight with this thing.

Just got my transfer kit, I don't get it. Can you just drag and drop like the old one, what am I doing wrong, I see the memory card, but why can't I drag and drop, to I have to put the College BB save in the Xbox exchane image file in my document, help please.

LOL, all you guys have to do is read the first couple of posts and follow directions.

There is no drag and drop. Its not Action Replay. You just have to place the file in the folder and select it in the program.

Pretty much. It sucks but they made this thing to act as a way to trade rosters not as a replacement for the HD.

The more I hear of the different issues that people are having, the more I believe that the only way MS allowed Datel to release this thing is that it would make people have to go out and buy the HDD and Memory Unit.

Many of us bought the premium systems to get the HDD so we didn't have to run into these kinds of issues. MS probably told Datel, if you want to release a device...make it to where the consumer needs the HDD and Memory Unit. This is what's coming out here.

The lucky ones with a HDD only need to spend $40 to get the memory unit, but those with a memory unit need to spend $100 for the HDD. It's a good way for MS to make money.

I said my peace with the conspiracy theory, but I did purchase a mem card and transfer kit today even though I had the HDD.

Never mind, got it to work. Nobody every mentioned that there's an option bar on the right of the screen that you need to go into that needs to be pointing to the 360 xchange folder, if not it will not work.

It says backup memory card...you press backup and creates the 360 saves folder in My Documents. Then go to the Hard Drive section of XChange360...click on the file and click on the "to mem" icon.

the option blade is where i was getting stuck also.

You right, this is a way for M.S. to make extra money. Getting a memory card is eaiser then getting a hardrive. I looked at 1 best buy, 2 targets, 2 walmarts, 1 circuit city, 2 eb games and 1 gamestop. Not one of those stores had a hardrive. I could understand 4 months after launch that there are still no 360 around, but no hardrives, that is messed up. One of the Eb stores told me they only had 3 hardrives since launch and haven't gotten 1 in since late Feb. How frickin hard can it be to make and supply a hardrive.

Got it finally. If anyone is living in the South Suburbs near Lincoln Mall, you might want to go make that move NOW if BB is still open. They had four left. It's so great how the XBOX 360 isn't getting that much love over here cause all the stuff that I want/need I get when I go a couple of places. That's at Matteson, Illinois folks.

THis is pretty freaking frustrating. When I try to back up my Memory card useing the the XChange software, it says "Memory Card Error. Please remove and re-insert the memory card." Any idea what I can do to make this thing work?
