1 month, 90 hours, 50/50 achievments and I'm done with the game. Doesn't interest me right now. I bought the 3 extra's and they all suck too, lol.

Need an expanion pack now. Rebuilding Kvatch, fishing, new guild, new lands would be nice

Probably gonna knock out the rest of the main quest next, getting tired of random oblivion gates, they just get a bit repetitive. Great game though, and probably gonna run through as my mage, or a big warrior type guy later on.

Some new expansions would be nice. This game simply is'nt as large and and diverse as Morrowind. Things like repetitive Oblivion Gates and repetitive towns hurt this game bad. Its alright though, what more can you ask for with 90-150 hours of gameplay. There are'nt many games out there like it.

So Graphik, after the cooling off period, does the game still sit as one of the best ever in your opinion, or is it barely better than Morrowind? I ask because I have yet to play the game but will soon (getting my 360 within a couple of days). Also, is the leveling thing really that bad?

I would call this the best game eva!! in a heartbeat. I loved it. There is still tons of depth even after you've beaten the game. You can just start over with an entirely diffrent chracter and do everything diffrent. Compared to Morrowind, Oblivion is better because of some of the gameplay mechanics like marksman, sneaking and the lockpicking. The AI is much, much better this time around as well. And you cant beat the realistic physics. It makes each fight unique in its on way. Morrowind just had more factions and more quest from the looks of it. I haven't even beat Morrowind yet and I'm positive I've put more time in it than I did in Oblivion. I haven't beat Oblivion yet as well but from the looks of it, I'm fairly close.

Good deal. What about the leveling issue. I can't seem to get a firm grip on the problem people seem to be having because I haven't played it. But from what I get, some are saying that as you level the monsters level so this makes the game as you get deeper into it more difficult. Some say that you could theoretically beat the game at level 1 because the monsters again, stay at your level. Is this really a big deal? I personally don't see how it is, but would like your point of view on it.

                The levelling is fine.

When you first play, something like a wolf would take 10 minutes to beat.

Now, at level 25+ or whaveter I am, it takes one arrow (when sneaking) or 1 or 2 sword thrusts.

It's usually only the humans and top level monsters that gain stats, but even then, I am finding them to be easier the higher my level gets.

This is not like FF8 where AI levelling wrecked the game.

umm, does anyone kno places where i can find training for destruction, blade, or conjuration? that would be really helpful, but especially blade, that takes me forever to level up

Thanks Admiral, that doesn't seem to be all that bad.

Technically, you can use the leveling system to make yourself ridiculusly powerful relative to the rest of the world. Just don't use your major skills.... Then you could be a low level charachter with about 10 master skill levels. Then you would face low level NPCs and the game would never send a tough monster up agsint you. Rats & and wolves gallore. Actually, I think the system was designed to be less expoitable than Morrowind but really its a lot more exploitable. I don't think they put much thought into it at all.

The way you run into trouble is if you build your characheter off of Sneak, Security, Merchantile, speechcraft, alachemy, Athletics, and Acrobatics and go from town to town stealing & making potions and selling what you come up with to get rich. Money doesn't do you a whole lot of good because the best stuff isn't usually available from merchants (at least not until you find it somewhere else yourself). If you do that when you finally do leave town you will die quickly most of the time and its hard to recover you characther to get your fighting skills up because so many enemies kill you so easily. Then you need to discover the best use of money in this game: Training

I don't know why they created a system that easier to exploit than any method I can think of but still allows people who don't know what they are doing to create broken charachters and takes away most of the benifit of general exploring & accumulating gold. But it doesn't break the game at all if you avoid the handful of pitfalls. IMO, this is one of the best games I have ever played in spite of what I think of the leveling system.

So, if I get +5 bonuses in three areas every time I level then I'm going to have an awfully powerful character on my hands relative to the NPCs. If I just get 1's and 2's then I'm going to be gimped. What was Bethesda intending the average to be for leveling? Were people supposed to progress 2-3 points every time they level as an average so they would stay the same skill as the NPCs or what?

Is anyone else having freezing issues after downloading the two quests (not the horse armor pack)? I never had freezing issues in the first 20+ hours, and now after finishing up the Frosted Tower quest I get freezes all the damn time. One froze after buying the last item from the shop keeper in the Imperial City, another freeze came when I talked to the rat chick after accepting the first Fighter's Guild quest, and the most recent freeze happened when walking next door of the rat chick to investigate her claim further. What gives? This is even AFTER doing the memory cache trick (does that even work)? HELP!

Hey guys i just need a little bit of help with solving the case of who stole the countess's painting (can't remember the name of the town). I am doing the main quest where:

                            *************POSSIBLE SPOILERS*****************

you have to go around to each city and close the oblivion gates before they will send troops and i stumbled onto a little side quest about a stolen painting. I have found an unusual painting in the room and also the paint supplies in the girls desk but i can't find anymore clues. If you know what i'm talking about than any help you could give would be appreciated as it's really P'ing me off!
