Just got back from picking it up. Stopped at CC on the way home and bought a surround sound system for my bedroom since thats where the 360 has been relocated to when I bought the Samsung HDTV. Gotta hook the surround sound up before I experience GOW..

Is there an "Official Gears of War Impressions" thread?

This thread is too cluttered.

Judging how OS is going crazy over this game, I'll just rent it.

Every OS "must have - game of the year", besides NBA2k7, is played for 2-3 months before everyone is selling/trading it.

This game is crazy hard on medium difficulty.

Its very similar to ghost recon AW on the hardest setting.

I must have died 10 times in a half hour.

just got home with it and just finished the training mission. The cut scene after that mission is pretty long.
