Re: Nintendo Wii Information, hardware, games discussion
It comes out on Nov 19th which is a Sunday, correct? If that is the case, I'll just go to the 24 hour Wal-Mart at some point Saturday and get in line. If there are going to be as many as 1 million available then it shouldn't be too hard to get one if you really want one.Comment

Re: Nintendo Wii Information, hardware, games discussion
I think only Nintendo produced titles are confirmed, as well as most, if not all, of Sega's stuff (there are others, but I can't recall them). If the service is a big hit then I'd expect to see a lot of the third party titles become available. As of now, I don't think No Mercy has been confirmed as being available.Comment

Re: Nintendo Wii Information, hardware, games discussion
When you guys bring the Wii home, how many games are you going to buy? I'm thinking two at the most, but I can't really decide which ones other than The Legend of Zelda. I can't pick between Madden 07, Splinter Cell, and Red Steel and I know I'm going to pick up Rogue Squadron since the Wii is BC.

As does Madden. The only thing about Red Steel holding me back is how the final version will be. It seems like the game is still a little bit buggy, but I hope they work out the kinks before launch.

I'll probably get at least Red Steel....and was planning on Metroid as well until that got pushed back.Comment

I probably will when I move out.Comment

Red Steel is new to the gaming world. But yes, reports of a shoddy control scheme are a bit troubling.

Re: Nintendo Wii Information, hardware, games discussion
Don't know if anyone will be able to answer this, but with this Madden Wii, is it going to contain the same features as the maddens for the other next-gens (360, PS3) or is it going to look similar to the current gen maddens. For example, I played Madden on the 360 and saw a whole slew of cutscenes that I'd never seen before in the current gen versions (Entrances, stadium shots, etc). Can I expect that same thing in Wii (although I'm pretty sure the graphics wont be anywhere near as pretty).Last edited by Tywon; 10-20-2006, 10:36 AM.Comment

Well, that's true PK, but Madden sounds like its more immersive than anyother football previous to it because of the Wii controller. But if Red Steel continues to be buggy, I won't have to worry about deciding. Splinter Cell is definitely on the back-burner.
