I don't think finding a Wii is going to that big of a crisis. Maybe Gamecube-esque?

Candy, would that SD card you posted earlier work on the Wii?

And Bryan, I had a pretty tough time finding my Gamecube on launch weekend. I ended up finding a black Gamecube @ ZANY BRAINY of all places.

Yes, any SD Card will work.

The Gamecube launched with 700,000 consoles, the Wii is launching with 1,000,000. That is an extra 300K. I was able to walk into Best Buy in 2001 when the Cube launced 3 hours after they opened and I got one. This one won't be so easy, but there will be enough to go around.

Does anyone know if the N64 games are going to be over 100MB in size? I'm debating between getting a 1GB or 2GB card.

I don't even think they're that big... 32 MB maybe for most? I think a couple of the largest were like 128... but I could easily be wrong.

If we go by the size of the PC roms, the largest game I saw was Conker at 60 megs. Stuff like Wave Race, Mario etc were between 5 and 10 megs when zipped. It was possible to play them zipped I believe so surely they would do the same on the Wii.

That sounds even better if their compressed to 5-10mb, that way at the moment I can get the cheaper 1gb card.

Yeah depends on how many Photo's, Vids, SNES and Genesis games you are gonna get (but they'll be super small),1 gig should be fine.

My n64 roms folder is 900megs and has 61 games in it. As I mentioned Conker is the biggest at 60mb and we know that won't be on the Wii, then the next biggest is Donkey Kong at 40 and the the Zelda's and Paper Mario around 30mb each.

I'm gonna go the 2Gig personally

Personally, I'm with Candy on the 1GB because I doubt I'll have many (if any) photos and videos on my memory card, unless of course I get a camera for Christmas, but then I'll probably buy a separate card. Don't forget Admiral, that you can delete VC downloads and then go back and download them again since Nintendo keeps tabs on which ones you purchase.

Has there been any news on Donkey Kong 64 coming out anytime soon? I know its made by Rare, so I'm a little antsy to find out if it will be available at all.

Actually, I wonder if we can back up/transfer the Virtual Console games to our PC for storing?

If so, the 1 gig would be fine.

Any plans on a Star Wars: Rogue Squadron game? How about a new Star Wars: Racer?

Racer was one of my favorite games ever. Imagine if they released Episode I Racer on the Virtual Console where you can use the Wiimote. Speaking of which, are there going to be any Virtual Console games that will make use of the Wiimote?
