Some Wii channels tuned out
Weather and news channels, Web browser won't arrive until after Nintendo console's launch; at least 12 virtual console games online on day one.

The Forecast Channel, which will provide users with free constantly updated weather reports from around the world, will go live December 20

That debut will be followed by the arrival of the Wii News Channel on January 27.

Gamers whose retro favorites aren't in the initial batch can take some comfort in Nintendo's announcement that new games will be made available on the service every Monday after launch.

I had everything plugged in correctly, but the router couldn't connect to the net.

Did you run the wizard? Did you pay the cable bill? Are you using a wire from computer to router for inital setup?

Tip: Call your ISP for help before calling the router maker help desk. Or try online support.

I got it working. ODogg suggested to that I go to command.com and type in "ipconfig/release," shut down the comp, unhook the cables and then restart. Thats working. I just hope I can connect the Wii to it and get some VC titles this Sunday. Plus, my brother is suppose to be getting a laptop for Christmas, so I'm crossing my fingers I got it working right.

Zelda-Best Buy update. I got an e-mail today telling me the release date was pushed back to the 19th. So, hopefully I can pick one up at Wal-Mart that night instead of waiting for Zelda to come in the mail.

I saw Zelda on the shelves tonight at Target. They had well over fifty of them. Actually it took up most of the case.

Remember CMD and IPCONFIG/release or renew for as long as you have a computer, it will solve a lot of problems. Also ... cmd and ping www.yahoo.com

The Nintendo DS was REAL easy to connect to my wireless network, I am guessing Wii will be just as easy.

Actually, the girl working there came over and asked if I needed anything from the case. I asked if the game can be purchased and she said yes! These were not just boxes, they were the actual game. I was suprised to see them.

Did you buy one? Target has street dates in their system, so odds are the register wouldn't sell it to you ala other people who have tried to purchase other stuff there early.

I bought the DS there 3 days before street date. Have they changed policy since then?

Yes, due to the DS Lite debacle with Target they had to put a street date flag in the system.
